Established in 1980 as the main campus of GITAM Deemed to be University and is the oldest of the three campuses and situated at one of the most idyllic locations in Andhra Pradesh. GITAM Institute of Nursing is located in the main campus of GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam. It was established to provide quality education in nursing to meet the ever-growing demand for competent nurses in the country. The B. Sc. GITAM Institute of Nursing Courses

The B. Sc. Nursing program has been offered, with permission from the Indian Nursing Council, UGC & MHRD, Govt. of India, from the academic year 2016-17. In the year 2017-18 M. Sc. Nursing- Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care (NPCC) Postgraduate Residency program was started. GITAM Institute of Nursing Admission

GITAM Institute of Nursing offers 4-years of honours courses namely B.Sc nursing along with a 2-year course of M.Sc Nursing. The admission to the institute is entrance-based/ merit-based.

GITAM Institute of Nursing Eligibility Criteria

Students must meet the minimum eligibility criteria in order to be able to apply for a course. Mentioned below are the eligibility criteria of the major courses offered by the colleges.

GITAM Institute of Nursing B.Sc Eligibility

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 examinations from any recognized board with a minimum of 44% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC / ST and persons with disability).

GITAM Institute of Nursing M.Sc Eligibility

• The candidate must have completed a registered B.Sc. nurse program from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the B.Sc. (N) program, and a minimum of one year of clinical experience, in any critical care unit.

GITAM Institute of Nursing Infrastructure Facilities

The Institute is provided with a digital library, e-class rooms and a wi-fi facility. Hostel accommodation is available for their comfortable stay and pursuit of education. The institute provides clinical learning to the students at the GITAM Multi-Specialty Hospital.
