Entrance Exams & Admissions : THE GAYATRI VIDYA PARISHAD is a registered, charitable, educational society, established by a group of educationists in 1988. It had over the past twenty three years grown into one of the best societies offering value based, skill based education empowering the youth of this country. Gayatri Vidya Parishad, started its activities from 28.9.1988. This Trust is managed by eminent educationists, philanthropists, and technocrats. One of the major aims of the Trust is To promote, establish, maintain and assist in maintaining educational and other institutions with a view to impart education in all branches in general and advanced technology, management, education, and science in particular, and thus to facilitate securing gainful employment to the youth of the country. Towards the fulfillment of this aim the Gayatri Vidya Parishad started a Degree College in 1989 with a number of restructured courses in Computer Science, Electronics, and Management. In 1992, the Parishad has also started a Junior College and introduced Vocational Courses in Computers and Automobile Engineering. In 1993, the Parishad started offering instruction in Post-Graduate course M.B.A. and in 1994 M.C.A. is also added. A step further towards developing Technical Education, the Parishad started an Engineering College in 1996 with four branches, and now it has seven branches. The Parishad is organizing all the activities as self-financing institutes. A Clause under Funds from the Constitutions of the Parishad reads as follows: The funds of the Institute shall be spent only for the attainment of the objectives of the Institute and no portion thereof shall be paid, transferred or diverted directly or indirectly to any of its members in any manner whatsoever……. All the assets of these institutions belong to a trust namely Gayatri Vidya Parishad. The Parishad wants to serve the community and join with similar institutions. A Clause from the Objectives of the Parishad states as follows: To organise and maintain contacts, to secure affiliation, and to collaborate on a reciprocal basis with similar institutions in India and other countries. The Gayatri Vidya Parishad (GVP) is a nonprofit charitable educational society with a track record of having established institutes of excellence. The following account of the GVP shows its goals, assets, strengths, expertise and finances. GOAL: To promote establish, maintain and assist in maintaining educational and other institutions with a view to impart education in all branches in general and in advanced technology, management, education and science in particular and thus to facilitate securing gainful employment to youth of the country. 1. Autonomy: GVP College of Engineering and PG and Degree College are autonomous institutions. 2. Technical campus: The PG and Degree College is permitted to become a TECHNICAL CAMPUS and start a new Engineering courses from the year 2011-12. 3. Accreditation: most departments are accredited by NAAC and NBA and IAO. 4. Center for potential excellence: status is given to the Degree and PG college by UGC. 5. The UGC recognition u/r GVP Engineering College under 12. b for assistance. 6. The Tequip 1.2 recognition was given to the GVP Engineering College with 12 crore grant for up scaling PG education and research by MHRM and World Bank. 7. Bio Medical Engineering course is offered by the GVP College of Engineering for women. The students have good opportunity of learning if a medical college is attached. 8. Bio Science Research laboratory is established already by the GVP. 9. Inter disciplinary Collaboration is one of the strong areas of opportunity for the Engineering colleges and the Medical College. 10. Technical Support offered by the two engineering colleges in the fields of Electronics, Bio Medical Engineering, IT, Computer Sciences and Management Courses which can provide the necessary support to the Medical Institution. And help the Medical college take up the services like Tele Medicine, Electronic Medical Records, Bio Electronics, Bio Materials and Health Care Management.
