• Candidates should have passed the entrance examinations conducted by the University CEE (Assam) or IIT JEE Main exam for PRC holders of Assam only.
• Candidates passing the eligibility criteria will be selected for the counseling session as per CEE (Assam) norms.
• For B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, candidates must have a minimum of 45% or equivalent in 3-year Polytechnic Diploma/ B.Sc in Electronics, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

Gauhati University M.Tech eligibility criteria are directly associated with the eligibility requirement. 

• A candidate with a minimum of 50% marks in the respective subjects in M.Sc/ B.Tech/ BE for the general category and 45% for the reserved category. 
• Candidates are required to qualify for the entrance examination conducted by the university or GATE examination.
• Candidates qualifying for the national level examination are exempted from appearing in the university examination.

Gauhati University eligibility criteria are as follows

• Candidate must have a postgraduate degree from Gauhati University or any recognized university or institute in a subject in disciplines such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Law, Technology, Fine Arts, Engineering, and Medicine or other professional subjects of Gauhati University with not less than 55% of marks or equivalent grade in the concerned subject and 50% or equivalent grade for SC/ ST/ OBC or a differently-abled candidate with 40% disability.
• In the case of Medical Sciences, the rules and reGauhati Universitylations of the Medical Council of India/ Indian Nursing Council/ Rehabilitation Council of India/ recommendation of Faculty of Medicine for Clinical Courses will be followed.
• Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in their postgraduate final term examinations may also apply. However, such candidates are required to produce their results before the final selection list of successful applicants is prepared by the concerned department.
• An applicant who is in service (Either permanent or temporary or part-time) should produce a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer before admission.
• Candidates qualifying for the national level examination are exempted from appearing in the university examination.
