There are two hostels for girls and one for boys.

Hostels for girls and boys are separate and fees per year is 25K. food is very hygienic. Infrastructure and labs, library is well arranged.
The meal is moderate. there are separate hostel facilities for 1st 2nd and 3rd-year students. Women's hostel also available
The Gandhigram Rural Institute Library was established in 1956. It moved to the present building in 1987, stocking over 1.5 lakh books. The Library is named after the Founder Vice-Chancellor Dr. G. Ramachandran. The Library has been computerised for circulation and searching of books with SOUL (Software for University Libraries), developed by INFLIBNET Centre (An IUC of the University Grants Commission), Ahmedabad. The digitization of library documents is also under progress. The Library has UGC-INFONET E-journals access facility with 1 GB connectivity provided by UGC- INFLIBNET Centre, Ahmedabad through ERNET India, New Delhi. The total area of the Library building is about 12600 sq.ft.
