- Every student seeking admission to the First Year of Engineering should register themselves with the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra State at the DTE facilitation Centres (FC).
- This Process is pre-requisite and mandatory also for Minority students seeking admission for Minority Category.
- Cap Seats: 29% seats are filled through CAP conducted by DTE.
- Minority Seats: 51% seats are reserved for Minority candidates (Roman Catholic Community).
- Institute Level Seats: 20% seats are allotted as Institute Quota, Candidates who wish to avail of Institute Level Seat of the college first must register at the DTE Facilitation Centre procure a merit number and only then apply at Don Bosco Institute of Technology for the Institute seat.

- Students from SC/ VJ/ NT/ OBC/ SBC categories and also the Indian Nationals are eligible
- Students admitted through CAP are eligible
- Renewal of Scholarships is also available
