Library

CT Educational Society was established in the year 1997 under the able guidance of a great missionary and visionary S. Charanjit Singh Channi, presently the Chairman of CT Group of Institutions Jalandhar. Our library system opens doors for our people to the world beyond and within. It gives our people full opportunity to learn, live purposeful lives and grow to their full potential, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually.   

Digital Library


A Library is the soul of an academic Institution. Its role is to support, supplement and enrich the formal classroom teaching by providing various services. CT Library plays an active role in this direction and provides various information services. It is a fully automated library with Internet and Intranet connections thus making it a vibrant system, capable of providing latest information to its users in their respective fields. A team of professionally qualified staff members, headed by a  Chief Librarian, and other qualified satff manages the Library. 

The library has more than 50000 books covering all disciplines of Science, Engineering & Technology including bounds volumes of periodicals. At present library is subscribing a good number of national and international reputed printed journals and magazines as well as e journals and magazines in the field of Engineering, Management & Technology All the housekeeping operations of the library are fully computerized. It is also providing facility of Digital Library  online database, e-journals and e-documents are made available to the users. It is playing a vital role in the collection development and dissemination of engineering and technical information to meet the present and future needs of the institute. It has good number CDs & DVDs databases, audiovisual materials, access to e-journals and e-books. We take major initiative to provide information services to Engineering & technology professionals from time to time. We are committed to continually developing and improving all our services, especially in relation to those groups with any special requirements.  Advances in providing electronic access to many of our resources off-campus have increased the support. We can offer to distance learning students. Special resources are also provided to meet the needs of part-time students.

Hostels

Separate Hostel facility is available for Boys and Girls. Aesthetically designed, the hostel blocks are spread around the campus. The hostels are interconnected, mostly in blocks of three.

Each of the blocks has a square in the center where badminton courts with good turf are maintained, with some blocks also having lawns in the square. Each hostel block has a common room where facilities such as wall-mounted televisions, table-tennis tables and carom and chess games are available. It is the common room that provides the scene of action for get-togethers, parties and informal discussions. Each block is also equipped with fully automatic washing machines and each floor is further equipped with landline phones, water coolers and water purifiers.

The individual rooms are furnished with teak cots and bedding, a computer table, chairs, closets and shelves. All rooms have full time wireless internet connectivity with direct lines to the main LAN. The housekeeping staff is available through the week and takes care of cleaning the rooms, corridors and rest rooms on a daily basis.

Dedicated mess facilities and round the clock canteen facilities are available in the hostels. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is available and the pan-Indian menu is managed by the student body. Various other snacks, biscuits, chocolates, ice cream and soft drinks are available in the mess itself.

Transportation

A fleet of buses, cars, ambulance and other vehicles provide uninterrupted transport facility to the students, faculty, staff and visitors. The CT Group presently maintains a convoy of 64 vehicles including 50 buses, 12 cars, 1 ambulances including one security vehicle & 01 tractor for agriculture and plantations purpose in the campus.

The CT Group extends the pick and drop transportation facility to students within a radius of about 100 km adjoining the city of Jalandhar.

Gymnasium

The CT Campus takes great pride in its state of the art Gymnasium. The gym is equipped with most modern work out machines like exercise bike, rowing machine, stepper and multigym. Also, dumbbells and discs are available in all sizes to provide participants extensive free weight training. All the three types - Flat, Inclined and Declined - are available for the bench-press enthusiasts. The Gym floor features a layer of plywood and adds to the ambience of the Gym, making the workout a highly enjoyable and refreshing experience. A complete boxing kit consisting of punching bags and gloves adds another feather to the cap. The CT Group Campus also employs the services of part-time yoga trainer and weight instructor.

Laboratories

Computer Labs

The CT Group chooses to lay special emphasis on ensuring that its graduates are ready for the technical challenges of an information society. There are a number of computing facilities available on the campus.

The computer lab houses computers and is generally available during working hours only. Additionally there is a separate lab operated by the MCA Department. The state-of-the-art facility features hardware software that is geared to specific academic programmers.

Every Computing center in this network is enabled by state-of-the-art technology and reflects the prevailing trends in computing. Advanced networking technologies facilitate a seamless integration of the various computing centers and the multiple operating systems. The university encourages hands on experience at all levels, making available standard, licensed software to all students and staff. The servers available are RISC based, XEON technology, and laptop computers.

The computer labs provide a mix of software and platforms including Open Source Products, Microsoft, Oracle 9i, Java, Visual Studio, Unix SCO open servers and other high-end application software. Provision is also made for power performance, graphical and multimedia.

Access to Internet resources such as E-mail and World Wide Web are available to students. Computers with word-processing and DTP Software are available. Training programmes are conducted to impart in-depth knowledge in the latest software technology.

Management Information Systems (MIS) Lab

It has six servers and an Windows 2003 domain controller, besides SQL and ORACLE servers, all linked to Xeon Server. The MIS area is networked by 100 mbps switches have Microsoft license products, as well as RDBMS packages like ORACLE 9i, SQL server, MS-Access and MS FoxPro.

Database Management Lab

It has two IBM Xeon server, with an ORACLE server on one end and an SQL server on the other, with Pentium clients. Database Management Systems include ORACLE, SQL, MS Access and FoxPro. Available software includes Visual Basic, C++ and Visual Studio.

Microprocessor Lab

Twenty Core2Duo systems conduct interfacing of the microprocessor kits to the systems with an 8085 simulator.

Digital Simulation Lab

It is equipped with Xeon server and thirty Core2Duo clients. It has packages like MATLAB along with twenty toolboxes required by all the Engineering Departments and management Students

Computer Aided Design (CAD) Lab

It is equipped with a Xeon based application server and a Core2Duo windows 2003 domain controller.

Language Lab

In Information era language forms a basic aspect in Science, Technology and Management studies. Bearing this in mind, a Skill phones - Based Audio Visual and Audio active Language Lab has been set up. This enables the students to learn English grammar and pronunciation correctly. Courses are offered in Language Teaching and speaking and in New International Business English. 

It helps students to prepare for TOFEL, GRE and other competitive examinations; the same helps our students to develop their communication skills, as well as a challenging step towards the real-time environment.

Class Rooms

The classrooms at CT Group Campuses do not just create an atmosphere that is conducive to learning but in a sense nurture the quest for knowledge that the students possess. The original classrooms all seat 60 students. All classrooms are equipped with all modern teaching aids. These include electronic media such as multimedia notebooks, LCD & projectors etc. There are also separate Seminar rooms, Audio-Visual rooms and seminar halls equipped with state-of-the-art videoconferencing facilities.

Cafeteria

A hygienic, well-furnished and well-equipped cafeteria is available in the campus to provide food at nominal rates for the staff and students. The Cafeteria in the Campus is the hub of every student activity. A Dining Hall is provided for the day scholars students.  The canteen sells a wide variety of hot and cold food and drinks at recess and lunch times and ensures that a range of healthy choices are available.  

The College Canteen is a large spacious area and a variety of refreshments and meals available. It tends to be the most popular place on campus, not only for physical refreshment but also for student bonding, discussions and even work on assignments and projects.

Also, CT Institute of Hotel Management, Shahpur Campus proudly launches (soft) Aryana Bakery with International Varieties of Bakers Product to be chosen. Relishing and Mouth watering products like Vegan Chocolate Cake, Cranberry Breakfast Cookies, Nut Meal Brownies, Corn Bread, Pizza, Patties, Black Forest Cakes, Pastries, Chocolate Mousse, Kulcha, Coconut Biscuit, Cream Biscuit, Dinner Roll, Veg Roll, Lava Cake, Cream Roll etc are few of our menu items. Our menu is furnished with all International and National bakers product. Customized special cakes for Birthdays, kitty parties and anniversary can be ordered. Snacks like patties, burgers, and pastries can be order in bulk for any function. We make our product only with advance order for which we prefer one day prior intimation. Very soon we will come up with seating bakery where one can sit and enjoy with cool music and their tidbits of the bakery (officially launched by Ms. Aryana itself). Our bakery chef have handful of experience from India and abroad.We ensure quality, freshness and customer satisfaction is guaranteed at Aryana Bakery.

Banking

Punjab National Bank

The campus has a full-fledged branch of Punjab National Bank with 24X7 ATM facilities. The bank offers facilities for deposits, withdrawals, Pay Order, DD, Cheques and zero balance savings bank accounts and educational loan facility to the students.
