Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech:

Mechanical Engineering:

  • Applicants seeking admission must have passed with 60% aggregate marks in BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical/Production/Industrial/ Automobile/ Aeronautical/ Industrial Engg).

Civil Engineering:

  • Applicants seeking admission must have passed with 60% aggregate marks in BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical/Production/Industrial/ Automobile/ Aeronautical/ Industrial Engg).

Computer Science and Engineering:

  • Applicants seeking admission must have passed with 60% aggregate marks in BE/ B.Tech (CSE /IT /ECE) or MCA or equivalent.

Information Technology:

  • Applicants seeking admission must have passed with a pass with 60% aggregate marks in BE/ B.Tech (CSE /IT /ECE) or MCA or equivalent.

Electronics and Communication Engineering:

  • Applicants seeking admission must have passed 60% aggregate marks in BE/ B.Tech (Electronics & Communication/ Electrical / Electrical and Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Telecommunication/ Electronics).

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc.:

Zoology:

The applicant seeking admission must pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (Medical and Allied Medical Science or Biosciences or Life Sciences) or equivalent.

Botany:

The applicant seeking admission must pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (Medical and Allied Medical Science or Biosciences or Life Sciences) or equivalent.

Chemistry:

The applicant seeking admission must pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (any discipline) (with Chemistry) or equivalent.

Microbiology:

The applicant seeking admission must pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelors Degree (Applied Medical Science or Medical Science and Allied Medical or Agriculture or Biosciences or Food Science or Medical Lab. Technology or Life Sciences) or equivalent.

Mathematics:

The applicant seeking admission must pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (any discipline) (with Mathematics as a subject) Or 50% aggregate marks in B.Tech or B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering)or equivalent.

Food Technology:

The applicant seeking admission must pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (Medical Science & Allied Medical or Applied Medical Science or Agriculture or Nanotechnology or Biosciences or Life Sciences or Food Sciences or Nutrition & Dietetics or Home Science) or equivalent.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA:

  • A bachelorette degree from a recognised university is a must.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech:

Electronics and Communication:

  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English).
  • For an applicant seeking admission, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.

Bio-technology:

  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 70% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with English, Physics, Chemistry & Maths/Biology/Biotechnology).
  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with English, Physics, Chemistry & Maths/Biology/Biotechnology)  Subject to valid score in LPUNEST- 2024.

Chemical Engineering:

  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 90% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English). 
                                         OR
  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) subject to valid score in JEE (Main) 2024.

Aerospace Engineering:

  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 90% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English). 
                                         OR
  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) subject to valid score in JEE (Main) 2024.

Automobile Engineering:

  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 90% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English). 
                                         OR
  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) subject to valid score in JEE (Main) 2024.

Food Technology:

  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 90% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English). 
                                         Or
  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) subject to valid score in JEE (Main) 2024.

  • The applicant seeking admission must pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent.

Application Process for BCA, B.Sc, B.Tech, MBA, M.Sc & M.Tech:

  • The prospectus may be purchased from the Division of Admissions at the university campus or such other locations as specified by the university, on payment of Rs. 250.
  • Applicants seeking admission have to fill up the Application Form available in the Prospectus.
  • It is mandatory to fill in all the columns in the Application Form. ‘N.A.’ should be written if any field is not applicable.
  • The applicant seeking admission should submit the following documents, both self-attested and attested by the competent authority (i.e. a Gazetted Officer or Notary or any other appropriate authority as prescribed by the university) with seal.
  • The applicant seeking admission must submit a photocopy of Matriculation or equivalent certificate bearing testimony to Date of Birth.
  • The applicant seeking admission should submit the photocopy of the detailed marks card of the qualifying exam and other exams as prescribed by the university.
  • Photocopy of proof of residence (Passport/Voter Identity Card/ Ration Card/ Aadhar Card/ Driving License/ Electricity Bill/ Telephone Bill/ Bank Account Statement).
  • Photocopy of a document bearing the applicant’s signature for verification purpose (only if the same is not there in the proof of residence).
  • Undertaking by the applicant in case of any backlog (Result awaited/ Re-appear/Backlog or any other backlog).
  • Undertaking for Gap Period if the applicant is applying after a gap in his/ her studies.
  • A unique ID and password will be sent to the registered mail ID of the candidate.
  • A representative of the university will call the candidates and orient them regarding various details related to the eligibility criteria, fees, scholarship options etc that are available to the candidates.
  • The representative of the university will also answer any specific queries that the candidates might have.

After this is completed, all documents submitted must be verified with the originals within the specified time limit. IN case the qualifying exam certificate is not available at the time of submitting the application, it can be submitted later also. Candidates must pay the balance fee within the specified timeline. 

Candidates applying for the scholarship programs must apply for the LPUNEST exam. Based on the scores obtained in the test, students can avail scholarships. 


Admission Process for BCA, B.Sc, B.Tech, MBA, M.Sc & M.Tech:

Step 1:

  • The applicants seeking admission have to register onto LPU’s admission portal with basic details (Name, Email ID, Date of Birth, Mobile No). A unique username/password will be generated and sent to the email ID given while registering. The username will be the email ID and password will be system generated.
  • The applicants seeking admission have to log in to the LPU’s admission portal with already created username/password.

Step 2:

  • The applicants seeking admission have to fill the application form submit the same.
  • The applicants seeking admission have to make part payment of Rs. 10000/- (Rs. 9100/- for the tuition fee of the first semester and Rs. 900/- for prospectus). After the successful realisation of the payment:
  • The prospectus will be dispatched at your correspondence address.
  • A Unique AID and Registration No will be generated and sent to the email ID of the applicants seeking admission.
    The representative of the university will call the applicant seeking admission have to and will guide him/her through the next series of steps.
