Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Degree College was established in 1950. The college is affiliated to Allahabad University. The college is under the governance of Kayastha Pathshala which is Asia’s biggest trust. The college started with B.Sc. course in 1950 in the building of K.P. Intermediate College. The college was shifted to its present location at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, George Town, Allahabad in 1953 in the ‘Agra Jamindar Association’ building. Faculty of Arts was started in the year 1955. Classes of law started in the year 1972. The commerce faculty was started in the year 1976. Faculty of Law was shifted to Kamla Nehru Marg in 1990. There is a separate Girls wing at Kamla Nehru Road. The college is a co-educational institute and it has been associated to University of Allahabad since its establishment and it became ‘Constituent’ of the University of Allahabad in 2005 when the central status of the university was restored.

Courses Offered by CMP Degree College

C.M.P. Degree College offers various degree courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level which are B.A., B.Sc., LLB, B.Com, M.A., M.Com and M.Sc. in various specializations.

There are also courses like one-year Diploma in Computer Application, Fashion Designing PGDCA and CCC.

CMP Degree College Application Form 2025

Applications for admissions have to be submitted online through the common application form of Allahabad University. Candidates who have passed Senior Secondary Examinations are eligible to apply for Bachelor’s courses. Graduation degree holders can apply for PG courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Law. Admission to UG courses are through the entrance exam conducted by the Allahabad University- Under Graduate Admission Test (UGAT). For Law and PG courses, candidates have to appear for Law Admission Test (LAT) and Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) conducted by Allahabad University respectively. Qualifying candidates will have to appear further for the counseling round. A relaxation of 5% will be given to the candidates of reserved category for eligibility criteria.

CMP Degree College UG Admission 2025

CMP Degree College offers Bachelor’s degree in a number of disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce. Candidates will get admission to BA, B.Sc. and B.Com courses, through the counseling based on their scores in university-level entrance examination - Under Graduate Admission Test (UGAT). Candidates who have passed 10+2 in Science and Commerce stream are eligible to apply for Bachelor’s in Science and Commerce, respectively. The college also offers Bachelor’s in Law (LLB) for which the annual intake is 493 students. Admissions will be made through Law Admission Test (LAT), conducted by the university. Also, Applicants who have Higher Senior Secondary Examinations certificate in any subject are eligible to apply for BA and LLB courses.  

• The entrance exam will be conducted only in Allahabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi.
• Candidates with a valid UGAT score have to appear for the counseling between the given times.
• Candidate with valid LAT score will be eligible for LLB Admission.

Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Degree College offers Master’s in Law, Science, Commerce and Arts at Post Graduate Level. For admissions to all the PG courses, candidates must appear for the Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) conducted by the Allahabad University. Candidates with a valid score in PGAT will have to appear for the further admission process. For LLM admissions, the faculty of Law at the university conducts Law Admission Test (LAT). Applicants must hold Bachelor’s in the concerned disciplines for which they are applying as minimum educational eligibility for the admission.

• Candidates with a valid PGAT score have to appear for the counseling between given time.
• The entrance test will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions. Candidate’s score in entrance exam will be calculated after Standardization.
• Weightage of 5% will be given during Standardization to the candidates who hold National Cadet Corps (NCC) Certificate.
• PGAT for the above-mentioned courses will be conducted in both online and offline mode. Candidates will have to opt for the mode of examination while filling the application form.
