Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital is a medical research and education center in Kolkata. The National Medical Institute and the Calcutta Medical Institute were merged to form it. The "Calcutta National Medical College'' arose from the "National Medical Institute" or "Jatiya Ayurbigyan Vidyalaya," which was established on April 14, 1921, as a result of the Non-cooperation movement. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was the first to inaugurate it.

Calcutta National Medical College has all the basic facilities. Some of them are listed below.
Hostels- For UG and PG students, there are seven hostels in total, one girl's hostel, and six boy's hostels. The hostels are in a decent state of repair.
Library-The medical library of the college is one of the greatest in the state, having 17000 books. The library also has 42 national and international journals on its shelves.
Computer Lab- National Medical College's computer center, which is run by the medical college's Alumni Association, assists students in becoming more tech savy. This computer center also offers internet access to the students who have paid for a membership.
