Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria to join Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital was 50 % & Admission procedure was through management quota. I took up KCET, COMED-K and NEET examinations. Typical cut offs are 1700.

Fees & Scholarships : Course Fee at Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital depends upon through which quota you get into a college & as per KCET exam, the fee structure for MBBS is Rs. 46000 plus Rs. 1 lakh College fees, Coming to COMED-K exam it is Rs. 3,57,500 plus Rs. 1 lakh college fee. The number of students who get scholarship most of the time depends on SC/ST /OBC category. Yes, loans are needed & yes it can be availed easily in the form of educational loans up to Rs. 11 lakhs per year of study and also banks like State bank of India, union bank, Axis bank, ICICI issue loans to the students.

Academics & Faculty : The exams are conducted in a very sincere manner & no doubt it has to be strict since our college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi institute of health sciences. The quality of teaching is a worth an appreciation with good professors around and method of teaching, they use both the black board & slide projectors and Clinical teaching at hospitals. Overall experience is good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 2 girls hostel and 1 boys hostel present in Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital, hostels are super, amazing and well-equipped ones though boys hostel needs some drastic change, the cost of girls & boys hostel is ranging from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 75,000 pa. Meals in college is good & it usually costs Rs. 30 to 35/-. The quality of classrooms is pleasurable, being practical, a lab is a glorious place to learn practically. There are 2 libraries & there's no dining hall, wifi is secured and infrastructure is always an on going process and is a good one.

Clubs & Associations : There are no such student societies or clubs in Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital but there is a good intercollegiate relationship. Main festivals are Aura is our cultural fest which will be usually held in the month of September or October so that juniors are comfortably a part of this college which is an amazing event with hundreds of events. Also, intercollegiate sports will be held in a specific month by both college and university. College life is super and awesome.
