A Group of dedicated philanthropists established the Bapuji Educational Association in 1958 in Davangere, Karnataka, Under the guidance of the Bapuji Educational Association, Bapuji School of Nursing and Bapuji College of Nursing was started in the 1970 and 1990 respectively. Bapuji School of Nursing is the first private school of Nursing in Middle Karnataka and the first college of nursing in the Middle Karnataka to start B.Sc., Nursing, P.B.B.Sc., and M.Sc., Nursing Courses.

Bapuji College of Nursing Admission 2020

The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

Having been recognised by the Karnataka Nursing Council, Bangalore and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi it performs as one of the pioneer nursing institutes in the South. The college is conducting guest lecturer by eminent teaching faculty from JJM Medical College and nursing college of Karnataka, both Bapuji School and College of nursing conduct regular CNE programmes, Health Camps, workshop and Conferences etcStudents thus get an opportunity to visit various nursing Colleges and super specialty hospitals at the time of their course in the names of educational tour for 15 days.

Bapuji College of Nursing Diploma Admission 2024

This course is offered by the ‘Bapuji School of Nursing’. The course duration is 3 yrs 6 months.  The course is categorized under the domain of paramedics. The diploma programme is designed to train the students as nurses with skills to make them competent to work in a hospital environment and perform duties such as providing first aid, assisting in research activities, wound surgeries and functioning effectively in a team.

1. Candidates should have passed pre-university examination (PUC of 2 Years) or equivalent, preferably in the Science Stream (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks or any stream.
2.  Must have completed 17 years on or before 31st day of December of the year of Admission.

Bapuji College of Nursing UG Admission 2024

The college offers UG programmes in Nursing such as the B.Sc in Nursing (Basic) and B.Sc in Nursing (Post Basic). Another course namely, the General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M) course is yet another option to pursue right after one’s intermediate.

The UG courses are for a duration of 2-4 years and the total intake for this level is 160 students per year.

Bapuji College of Nursing UG - Eligibility, Admission

1. Candidates should have completed 17 years on or before 31st day of December of the Year of admission.
2. Students should have passed pre-university examination (PUC of 2 Years) or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with science subjects. Viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
3. Students should have obtained at least 45% of the total marks in science subjects(Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for general category. ( in case of SC/ST 40% marks).
4. For the Post-Basic Course it is mandatory for the students to be a registered Nurse and Midwife with a Diploma in GNM

Bapuji College of Nursing PG Admission 2024

The college offers a PG M.Sc Nursing course, and students can pick from a number of specializations. This is a 2 year course and has limited intake of only 5 students per year per specialty. Following are the subjects of specialization available-

The Candidate seeking admission must:

1. Have passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka or any other university accepted as equivalent by RGUHS, Karnataka.
2. Have a minimum of one year of experience after obtaining B.Sc., Nursing (Basic), in Hospital or Nursing Educational Institutions or Community Health settings.
3. In case of P.B.B.Sc Nursing no such experience is needed after graduation. Registered in the State Nursing Council or as a registered nurse and registered midwife.
