Assam University Eligibility Criteria

For admissions to the undergraduate courses at Assam University admission 2022 candidates are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the particular course they wish to join. The general criteria of eligibility for the UG course include completion of higher secondary examinations from a recognized board/ institution. • Candidates interested in applying for the B.Tech course are required to have secured 45% in the 12th Class/Higher Secondary Level (10+2) class with Science subjects only. Candidates are also admitted through the JEE-Mains exam.
• Candidates seeking admission for BA LLB, B.Ed, BPA, BVA, and BPT are required to have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in the qualifying examination as well as 45 % in English subject, separately, in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates interested in applying for the B.Pharm course are required to have passed 10+2 level examinations with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology both in theory and practice and 50% aggregate marks.
• Candidates seeking admission for the B.Sc course are required to have secured a minimum of 60% marks in Higher Secondary with Science stream.

Assam University Eligibility Criteria

For admissions to the PG courses at Assam University admission, the candidates are required to have fulfilled the admission and eligibility criteria for the same. The general criteria for PG courses are the completion of the relevant undergraduate degree from a recognized institution. • Interested candidates are required to appear for the national level test (CUCET)/ Institute level test, conducted by the department and are required to have obtained at least 55% in B.E./B. Tech./A.M.I.E in relevant discipline/subjects/streams from a recognized Institute/or University in order to take admission in M.Tech course.
• Candidates in order to take admitted to the M.Sc course are required to have completed a B.Sc./B.Tech degree with at least 60% marks in Major /Honours in the relevant subject.
• Candidates interested in taking admission for MA and M.Phil, courses are required to have completed Honours/ Major in relevant subjects with at least 40% of marks (or equivalent grade) in their UG degree.
• Candidates seeking admission in MBA and MSW courses are required to have completed a graduation degree in any discipline.
• Candidates are required to have passed their LL.B. Degree and have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in order to get admitted to the LLM course.
• Candidates taking admission in the M.Com course are required to have passed the B.Com degree with at least 45% marks in the Major/ Honours or at least 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates are required to appear for the M. Com. admission test and are required to score 40% marks.
• Candidates are required to have completed a B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. degree from Assam University or any other Examination recognized equivalent thereto with 50% marks in aggregate in order to take admission in an M.Ed course.
• Candidates seeking admission to MVA are required to have passed BFA/ BVA from any University/Institution with at least 50% marks and secure at least 50% marks in the admission test.
