About AsSalam College of Engineering and Technology, [ASCET] Thanjavur
As-Salam College of Engineering and Technology (ASCET), Thanjavur was established in 2009 headed by As-Salam charitable and educational trust. The college has got approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and its affiliation from Anna university, Tiruchirappalli.
The students of their college are to strive for excellence both in their search for knowledge and skills and in the pursuit of success in life, in terms of their commitment to bring happiness to the fellow beings and for the development of their nation.

The college is located in a lush green environment in thirumangalakudi, that is just 2 km from aduthurai, 13 km from Kumbakonam, thanjavur district. The location of the college is well known for Tamilnadu rice research institute and there are many pilgrim centers with rich cultural and heritage values which are visited by lakhs of people of all religions.
With the blessings of the Almighty, in the middle of the year 2008, six friends, M.J. Jamal Mohamed Ibrahim, A.M. Shahjahan, J. Anwar Basha, O. Mohamed Hussain, A. Sirajudeen and Y. Sadiq Mydeen convened a meeting at Aduthurai, near Kumbakonam in which thirty social workers attended. They discussed and decided to establish a Charitable and Educational Trust for the improvement of our nation and society, committed to social welfare and upliftment of the society. They assured to dedicate themselves to work with full interest for the same purpose.
