Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune was set up by Gen B.C. Joshi, PVSM AVSM, ADC and formally inaugurated by Gen S.Roy Chaudhary PVSM, ADC on 24th February 1995. AIT functions under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) it has the seniormost officer of the Indian Army, the Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, as the President of its Board of Governors. The college is affiliated to Savitribhai Phule Pune University and all courses are approved by the AICTE. All UG courses are accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and NBA.

Army Institute of Technology Admission 2020

The college offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in engineering. They have 360 intakes in Undergraduate programmes and 80 intakes in the Postgraduate programme. Only wards of retired /  serving Army personnel are eligible to apply for Army Institute of Technology admission 2020. Other category students, that is those who are not wards of Army personnel, can be considered for admission only after considering wards of Army personnel. The admission will be based on the JEE Main examination scores.

AIT Application Form

For admission at AIT, candidates have to apply online through the official website. Fill the Army Institute of Technology, Pune application form online after receipt of JEE Main Roll Number of second attempt of JEE.

  • Login to the AIT website. Select application form for admission link.
  • Pay application fee INR 550/- through credit/debit card or net banking.
  • Enter relevant Email ID and Contact number
  • Upload photo and signature.
  • On submission of the online application form, a receipt will be generated. The receipt can be used for future references.
  • Candidates have to enter JEE Main detailed into the application form.

AIT Admission Fee

Selected candidates for Army Institute of Technology courses need to pay academic fees and hostel fees at the time of admission based on the Army Institute of Technology fee structure. Staying in hostel is mandatory for all First Year Students. Students can pay the fee through the AIT website.

  • Fee for BE Computer Engineering courses should be approximately INR 1,62,995/-
  • For ME course, candidates have to pay INR 193723/- including academic fees and hostel fees.

Entrance Exams Accepted by AIT

To apply for the Army Institute of Technology, Pune, Maharashtra, candidates should have a valid score in the JEE Main 2020 for UG courses. For PG courses candidates should have qualify GATE 2020. 

  • Candidates should have a rank in the JEE Main examination.
  • AIT will prepare a Merit list based on the JEE Main result.

AIT UG Admission 2020

AIT offers BE in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility and have a Rank in JEE Maine examination are eligible to apply for these courses.

Candidates should have a pass in 12th examination of Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination or other equivalent examination with compulsory subjects as Physics and Mathematics along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject. AIT ME Admission 2020

The college offers ME in Mechanical (Design Engineering) Engineering. The ME admission will be based on the GATE score. Eligible candidates can apply offline mode. Candidates have to fill the application form and send it along with the required documents and DD of 1000/- rupees in favor of "Director, Army Institute of Technology", payable at Pune to the Army Institute of Technology, Pune address.

Hi Shivam, Eligibility Criteria: Age Criteria. (a) The candidate must fulfil the age criteria requirements as per JEE Main 2014 i.e., candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01 October 1989 are eligible. (b) Proof of Age. The date of birth recorded in the matriculation or equivalent (Class X) certificate or in the Secondary Education Board / University Certificate only will be accepted as proof of age. Mandatory Eligibility Requirement. The applicant must be a citizen of India or a person of Indian origin from any foreign country but who intends to settle permanently in India and obtains Indian citizenship before admission to AIT. Eligibility for Admission to AIT. Admission to Army Institute of Technology is for the children of eligible serving Army personnel, eligible ex Army personnel and war widows of the Army. The children of following categories of Army personnel are eligible and they are required to submit the relevant certificate as given against the category applicable to them as proof of their eligibility for admission to AWES Professional Colleges along with the Application Form :- (a) The applicants must fall into one of the following categories: (i) Children of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years continuous service in the Army (Submit Certificate No 1).
