Training and placement cell of Annai Veilankanni’s college, Chennai is a unique institutional arrangement in the campus primarily motivated to empower the student community in particular the needy and the poor in terms of providing training and securing part-time and full time jobs.Keeping in mind the recent trend in the industrial economy of India the student service centre is in touch with some of the blue chip and top notch companies in India in particular Tamil Nadu.

Companies seek the training and placement cell for part-time and full time jobs. Companies do come to our premises for direct campus recruitment. Our students are being sent to off campus recruitment by leading companies in the city. To name a few companies: Wipro Technologies, Infosys Technologies, CSC computer Education, Star health and So on.

Training and placement cell of AVC also disseminates information regarding centres of excellence in higher education in India and abroad through its notice boards and the availability of jobs through brochures periodically received from various companies in and around the city of Chennai. in the last academic year 2009-2010 the training and placement cell of AVC provided jobs for nearly 40 students in the companies: India Infoline Ltd., Anso-Itech and so on.

Another hallmark is that it conducts periodically training programmes in soft skills and other employable skills.
