Infrastructure Facilities at Amritsar Group of Colleges [AGC], Amritsar:

AGC, Amritsar has state of the art infrastructure facilities. All the basic amenities required for students are present on the college campus. Some of the facilities offered at Amritsar Group of Colleges are mentioned below:

Library:

• The central library at AGC, Amritsar was established in the year 2002.
• The library is spread over in an area of 625 sq ft.
• There is a vast collection of books, journals, and magazines and is air-conditioned.
• There are over 67,500 books and work related to the literature available in the library.
• The college library also has a reading room and a separate section for conducting competitive exams.
• The college also has a digital library that has 22 computers with more than 400 non-printed material used by students.
• AGC, Amritsar has subscriptions to ebooks and journals as well.
• More than 34 magazines in print form 191 E-journals under IEEE Consortium (technical and general) along with the 17 prominent dailies and 43 journals are available.
• The library has three seating halls with a seating capacity of 200 students at a time.
• The digital library also contains collections of DVDs, CDs, and other study-related materials.
• The digital library is also used as a seminar hall for discussion and presentation.
  

Hostel:

• The institute provides hostel facilities to students.
• The hostels at AGC, Amritsar are well maintained by the staff.
• The boy’s hostel has a capacity of accommodating 600 students and is named Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the girls’ hostel is named Kalpana Chawla Hostel which has a strength of accommodating 200 students.
• The hostel rooms are wifi enabled, air-conditioned and standard rooms have desert coolers as well and have attached washroom facilities available.
  
• The hostels are fully furnished, well ventilated and have spacious rooms.
• Outdoor and indoor gaming facilities are available in the hostel.
• Health care, first aid facility and regular visits of registered physicians in the hostels are available for healthcare checkups.
• Bus facility available for hostel students.
• A spacious dining hall is available with a seating capacity of 400 students.
• The hostel provides hygienic and healthy food which is prepared by the authorities.
• Round the clock RO water supply and security is available in the hostel buildings.
• Study room, TV room, cafeteria, gym facility, 24/ 7 power supply and hot water supply are available.
• Amritsar Group of Colleges hostel is a ragging free environment and has regular counselling and personal care for students as well. 

Transportation:

• AGC, Amritsar offers transportation facilities to its students.
• A bus facility is provided to both students and staff.
• The institute has a fleet of 38 buses across the city providing pick and drop facility.

Classrooms:

• The institute has state of the art classrooms with a seating capacity of 80 students in each.
• AGC, Amritsar has 46 classrooms in total with E-classrooms in each department.

Canteen:

• The institute has its own canteen which serves food and beverages.

Restaurant:

• The department of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, ACET has started its own restaurant named "ACET Swagatam" and a bakery named "ACET Bake Studio".

Medical:

• AGC pays special care to the health of every student.
• Medical and health facilities are of prime importance at our institution.
• A dispensary and health centre has been set up within the campus where faculty, students and other staff members can get free medical services.
• The doctor’s on-call service is available for all on days from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• The institution has signed MOUs with various hospitals in the city for better health routine checkups.

Sports:

• Apart from academic excellence AGC, Amritsar encourages its students to take part in various sports activities as well.
• The sports department at ACET provides top facilities for sports to all students.
• The total playground area of the institution is spread over in an area of 2.5 acres. 
• There are three playgrounds in the college where facilities like football, cricket, chess, athletics, and kabaddi are commonly played among students.
