The trust felt a strong need for correct and timely career guidance and support to deal with emotional and behavioral issues of our MCGM school students, hence the Career Guidance and Counselling Cell was established in the year 2011. It mainly caters to the needs of socially disadvantaged municipal school students in Mumbai and Dist. Thane, Mumbra.

This year, our team has extended from 3 to 14 qualified psychologists i.e. 7 full timers and 7  school counsellors who provide comprehensive psychological services to the municipal school students which includes providing, life skills, study skills sessions and individual counselling for dealing with issues like substance abuse, lack of motivation, academic issues, family problems etc with students and parents.

The trust provides a comprehensive career guidance program to the secondary municipal school students. The program includes Aptitude, Interest, Personality and Intelligence Testing as well as career motivation and awareness sessions and individual career counselling of students based on career assessment. These programs enable the students to set appropriate career goals and motivate them to pursue higher education instead of dropping out after SSC.
