Research Centers at Institut National de Recherche Scientifique

Eau Terre Environnement Research Centre - This research center mainly works around 4 focus areas that are environmental decontamination and waste reclamation, aquatic biogeochemistry, earth sciences, and hydrology. It also has specialized laboratories and large-scale facilities.

Energie Materiaux Telecommunications Research Center- This research center mainly offers graduate programs and postgraduate programs in the areas of advanced materials, nanotechnology, photonics, telecommunications, and sustainable energy. There are around 40 professors working in their facilities in Montreal and Varennes. INRS offers 5 training programs. Each year the center accepts around 170 students.
  3. Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie Research Centre - The center has 40 professors, working towards prevention and improvement of health. Their main focus areas are infectious diseases, immunity, cancer, and epidemiology, microbiology and biotechnology, environmental, toxicology, and chemical pharmacology The center welcomes around 160 students each year.
  4. Urbanization Culture Société Research Centre- It has about 40 professors working in 10 disciplines of social sciences. There are about 160 students enrolled each year. The center offers around 6 graduate programs and postgraduate programs in the fields of urban studies, population studies, and modulization.
