D.A.5th Boys Senior Secondary School, Chennai

This English medium school is the main branch of the D.A.5th. Group of schools governed and managed by the Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society. D.A.5th. follows the CBSE curriculum from class 6th onwards and has produced several toppers with exceptionally high results in the class 12th board examination over the years. The school has also been recognized as one of the top 10 CBSE schools in India and has also been mentioned by Outlook and Education world as the best school in Tamil Nadu several times.

National Public School, Bangalore

The National Public School is more commonly known as NPS and has several branches in Bangalore, Karnataka. The Indiranagar branch is widely known and more popular among its sister schools. NPS is a co-education school established in 1982 and offers education from kindergarten up to class 12th. In 2012, the school was ranked 8th among the top 10 schools in India and was also ranked 2nd in Bangalore. The average strength of students in each class is around 40. The Hindi language is compulsory for students up to class 9th.

R.N Podar School

The school has around 2700 students enrolled and conducts its classes in the morning and afternoon shifts. It has been recognized as one of the top 10 schools in Mumbai by the Hindustan Times. It is one of the few CBSE schools in India that has been affiliated with CBSE since 2008.

Delhi Public School

Delhi Public School Society is a large group of several private schools established across the country and abroad. It was first established in 1949 and currently has 205 Delhi Public Schools and around 11 schools present abroad. Delhi Public School is one of the most popular schools in the DPS society. The school offers educational facilities from class 6th to 12th. Students from two of its sister schools attend classes from Nursery up to class 5th, post which the students promoted to class 6th move to Delhi Public School, RK Puram. There are around 9500 students who are enrolled in the school.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar

It is the oldest education institution that belongs to the Ramakrishna Mission. Admission is only conducted for class 6th through an All-India Test, and selection is solely based on merit. However, sometimes in case of availability of seats, admission to class 11th is also permitted by the school.

Chinmaya International Residential School, Coimbatore

The school follows the CBSE Board from class 5th to 12th, but it also offers the IB curriculum to its students in class 11th and 12th. At the establishment, there were only 96 students enrolled, but today there are around 550 students who are a part of the CIRS overseen by 70 faculty members. The average strength of a class is smaller, which helps the teacher pay individual attention to every student in the class.

HAL Public School, Bangalore 

The school was founded in 1999 with 67 students and seven staff members. Today the school has seen immense growth in academic performance and the strength of the school of 850 students with over 40 faculty members.

Mother's International School, Delhi

Mother's International School is managed by the Sri Aurobindo Education Society.  At the time of establishment, each class only had about 15 students, but today the entire school strength is about 2400 students with an average class strength of around 30-35 students. In 2001, it was recognized as one of the top 10 schools in India and the best school in Delhi. 

Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur

The school is the sister school of Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet that has won multiple recognition and awards over the years. Unlike its sister school, which follows the IGCSE curriculum, the Ramanthapur branch is affiliated with the CBSE Board. It provides air-conditioned classrooms for all classes with an average student-to-teacher ratio of 1:22. There are currently over 1800 students enrolled in the school.

CBSE Promotion Criteria

A student of class 10th and 12th must receive a minimum of 33% of makes in every subject to be declared pass in the overall result. Suppose a student has failed to obtain passing marks in up to two subjects. In that case, the student is offered another opportunity to retake the exam called the compartment exam conducted a few months after the results for the main board examinations have been announced. However, suppose the student has failed to clear the examination in three or more subjects. In that case, he/she will not be allowed to appear for the compartment exams and instead will be required to retake the board examinations the following year.
