Parul University’s Bhumi Mishra wins the prestigious Sushma Swaraj Award at National Youth Parliament 2025, reflecting the university’s excellence in nurturing future leaders through its Competitive Examination Cell.
In a proud moment for Parul University, Bhumi Mishra, a B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering student from the Parul Institute of Technology, was conferred with the Sushma Swaraj Award for Best Female Parliamentarian at the National Youth Parliament 2025: Speak to Lead Summit, held at the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan, Nagpur, on 29th and 30th May.
The National Youth Parliament is a prestigious simulation of real parliamentary proceedings, aimed at encouraging youth participation in policy-making and governance. Competing against the brightest young leaders from across India, Bhumi stood out for her exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and oratory excellence. As the Chief Whip of the Ruling Party, she led successful deliberations on two key simulated bills focused on regional development and national integration.
A proud member of the UPSC Marathon Batch of the Competitive Examination Cell (CEC) at Parul University, Bhumi’s journey is a reflection of the university’s commitment to cultivating future leaders. With dedicated mentorship from Mr. Noman Kasmani, Manager, CEC, and consistent support from her faculty mentors, she developed the skills necessary to shine on the national stage.
The Sushma Swaraj Award, named in honor of the late iconic stateswoman and leader, includes a cash prize and national recognition. The jury commended Bhumi for her clarity of thought, articulate presentation, and her ability to represent governance with conviction and purpose.
