Parul University inaugurates India’s first Neurocognitive Research Center in presence of Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, merging neuroscience, AI, and spiritual science for groundbreaking research in consciousness and cognitive studies.
In a landmark step blending scientific innovation with spiritual insight, Parul University has inaugurated the Dr. Vijay Bhatkar Global Research Center for Neurocognitive and Consciousness Studies. The center was launched in the presence of Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, India’s pioneering computer scientist and creator of the nation’s first supercomputer, PARAM.
Dr. Bhatkar, widely regarded as the architect of India’s National Supercomputing Mission, visited the Vadodara campus during a conference that explored the intersection of mindfulness, artificial intelligence (AI), and ethics in behavioural sciences. During his visit, he also accepted the role of Advisor for Research and Development at Parul University—signifying a transformative moment in the university’s research trajectory.
The newly launched center aims to be a global hub for integrated research, combining Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), neuroscience, Vedic science, cognitive and consciousness studies, organizational intelligence, and spiritual philosophies. One of its key research focus areas is Quantum Emotion—a cutting-edge field examining the vibrational and emotional structure of consciousness, linking neurobiology with holistic wellness.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar remarked,
“This is not just a research center, but a sacred mission to elevate humanity by harmonizing science and spirituality.”
Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, Vice President (Quality, Research & Health Sciences) and Medical Director of Parul University, added,
“This center marks a revolutionary step in interdisciplinary research. It will redefine research frontiers and foster a more empathetic world by uniting AI, neuroscience, and cognitive sciences.”
With this initiative, Parul University reinforces its global commitment to research, thought leadership, and integrated education. The center aspires to be a beacon where mindfulness meets scientific inquiry, and consciousness inspires creativity—ushering in a new era of socially, scientifically, and spiritually driven transformation.
