Uttar Pradesh is India's second largest producer of rice and according to IRRI, a research facility will be established in the country to enhance the quality of rice. Sardar Vallabhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology has contributed tremendously in the rice research and has significantly changed the face of Uttar Pradesh Agriculture by coming up with new theories and ideas to improve the quality of paddy in the state

Government Grants

The Government has come up with a strategy to establish a rice research facility, wherein students and research scholars from Sardar Vallabhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology will be hired to help other environmentalists with their research.Under the National Initiative in Climate Resilient Agriculture, ICAR affiliated institutions are engaged in developing climate resilient agricultural products. 

Contribution of the University

Sardar Vallabhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology has contributed to the enhancement of the country's agriculture greatly. It has come up with new and advanced methods of rice, wheat and jowar production. The University by itself has won several accolades and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral courses in various agricultural courses.
