JoSAA Medical Certificate 2023

JoSAA Medical Certificate is an essential document for the registration and document verification processes of JoSAA counselling. The candidates who have qualified for the JEE Main or JEE Advanced examinations must meet the eligibility criteria of JoSAA. Further, JoSAA is in charge of seat allocation, and candidates must submit the JoSAA Medical Certificate. Additionally, JoSAA medical certificate must be issued by a registered medical practitioner.

The JoSAA Medical Certificate has a specific format that the candidates must follow and fill out to submit during JoSAA counselling registrations. Here are the details candidates need to enter while filling up the certificate:

1. Name of the candidate
2. Gender of the candidate
3. Birthmark or identification mark (if any)
4. Major illness/operation, if any (specify nature of illness/operation)
5. Height of the candidate, weight, and blood group
6. Measurement of the chest (while inhaling and exhaling)
7. Hearing capability
8. Vision with or without glasses
9. Functioning of the respiratory system
10. Functioning of the nervous system
11. Functioning og heart - heartbeat sound and murmur

Steps to Download JoSAA Medical Certificate

The conducting authority will release JoSAA medical certificate before the beginning of the counselling process. However, here are the steps involved in downloading the certificate.

• Candidates must visit the official website of JoSAA: josaa.nic.in
• There are various options available on the home page.
• In the top navigation bar, candidates will locate the certificate format.
• Candidates need to click on it. It will be redirected to the certificates format page.
• There will be four options, among which candidates must select the “Medical certificate”. 
• Candidates will be redirected to a PDF. They can check the details and download it.

JoSAA Counselling Process

The candidates must first register for JoSAA 2023 and then complete the choice-filling procedure to be considered for JoSAA counselling and be allotted a seat. The step-by-step process for JoSAA registration and choice filling processes are listed below.

1. Registration 

• Visit the official website of JoSAA 2023.
• Click on the given relevant JoSAA 2023 registration link.
• Use your respective JEE Main or JEE Advanced credentials to log in.
• Fill out the required details with great precision.
• Review your form, submit and take a printout for further procedures. 

2. Choice Filling and Locking

• After the registration process, candidates must choose their course and college preferences. 
• The names of institutions the candidates are eligible to apply for will be listed on the website.
• The candidates must select the choices in the order of their preferences.
• After the choice filling is done, candidates must lock their choices. 
• Candidates must take a printout of their choice filling the form for admission. 

3. Document Verification

• Candidates must carry all the documents mentioned for reporting.
• Besides, xerox copies and original documents are to be carried. 
• Marksheets of candidate’s class X and XII, JEE Main admit card, and JEE Main mark sheet is to be carried. 

4. Reporting to the Assigned College

• As mentioned by the officials, candidates are requested to report to their respective colleges. 
• Next, after the counselling is conducted, candidates must wait for the college to publish the list of selected candidates. 
• If they are shortlisted, they must pay the admission fee.
• Lastly, reporting to the allotted college is a must.
