Amrita School of Ayurveda
Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri was established in 2004 and managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math Trust. The college is now a prestigious national as well as international centre for education in Ayurveda as is headed by chancellor Mata Amritanandamayi Devi. The Ayurveda Hospital and Research Centre attached to the Amrita School of Ayurveda is actively involved in research and manufacturing of Ayurvedic medicines.
The Inaugural Ceremony
Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony was Dr. Narayanan Bhattathiri. The Principal of Amrita School of Ayurveda, Vasudevan Nampoothiri delivered the welcome speech. Amrita Sparsham was introduced by Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, ACARA. Swami Jnanamritananda Puri blessed the clinic and spoke about the importance of promotion of positive health.
Amrita Sparsham Ayurveda Cancer Clinic
Ayurveda Hospital and Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA) took the initiative of launching Amrita Sparsham Ayurveda Clinic. The clinic is supported by Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences., Kochi. It counsels people suffering from cancer and presents options of effective ayurvedic treatment. The patients will be consulted by ayurvedic physicians. The clinic will be functional on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM.
