How Long Is NEET PG Score Valid?

The NEET PG score is valid only for one year. This means if you take admission in a particular academic session for MD (Doctor of Medicine)/ MS (Master of Surgery) and PG Diploma courses, you cannot carry forward that admission to the next year. You’ll have to appear for the NEET PG exam again if you want to apply in the next session.

It is also important to note that previously, different states used to conduct their entrance exams for PG medical courses. But now, after NEET PG became a statutory exam, no state can opt out of it. 

So, NEET PG has become the common entrance exam for almost all PG medical admissions in India, including state-run medical colleges.

Some important exceptions and details where NEET PG scores are still required are added below for your understanding:

• For All India 50% quota seats in MD/MS/PG Diploma courses — this applies to all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Telangana.
• For State quota seats in MD/MS/PG Diploma courses — this includes all States and Union Territories, including Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Telangana.
• For admissions to Private Medical Colleges, Institutions, and Deemed Universities across India.
• For Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions offering MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.
• For DNB Broad Specialty courses (starting from the January 2017 admission session onwards).

NEET PG 2025 Cut off (Out)

Candidates must fulfill the minimal requirements in order to be eligible for NEET PG 2025. Candidates who reach the necessary cutoff will be able to take part in the NEET PG counseling procedure when the results are announced online.

NEET PG 2025 Counselling

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will administer NEET PG counselling in 2025 via its official website, mcc.nic.in. In addition to filling up their course and college preferences and taking part in the seat allocation procedure, eligible candidates must register for counselling. 

• The MCC counseling rounds filled more than 25,000 MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma seats last year. 
• Candidates are encouraged to frequently visit the official websites of NBE and MCC for the most accurate and current information on exam dates, application information, syllabus, exam pattern, and counseling.

NEET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must confirm that they meet the formal NEET PG eligibility requirements published by NBE in the information bulletin before submitting an application for NEET PG 2025 or taking part in counseling. Here is a brief summary:

• Must hold an MBBS degree or a Provisional Pass Certificate recognized under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Should have a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by the NMC (formerly MCI) or State Medical Council.
• Completion of the compulsory internship should be done on or before August 15, 2025.

NEET PG 2025 Result and Scorecard

The NEET PG 2025 result was released on Aug 19, 2025. Candidates can download their individual NEET PG scorecard from the official website. 

The result will contain:

• Candidate’s Name
• Roll Number
• Total Marks Scored
• NEET PG 2025 Rank
• Category-wise Cut Off Marks

NEET PG 2025 Counselling Seat Allotment
