Father of Botany was born in Eresos, Lesbos, to a Greek family in 371 B.C. Greece. Father of Botany's original name was Tyrtamus, while later he was popularly called Theophrastus. He was called Theophrastus first by Aristotle because he could have graceful conversations with people.
Father of Botany was the world's first botanist who wrote in detail about plants in his publication, "Enquiry into Plants," varying on their geographical ranges, sizes, characteristics, and growth habits in geographical conditions.

The Father of Chemistry went to a peripatetic school during his childhood for studies. He relocated to Athens at a young age and studied at Plato School during that time. The Father of Botany, Theophrastus, studied philosophy under Plato on Lesbos before moving to Athens.
