Candidates must ensure that they meet all the requirements mentioned in the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. In case the candidates are not meeting the eligibility criteria, then the exam authority has the right to cancel their candidature for the academic session.

If the candidate is applying for LPUNEST it has different eligibility criteria for different courses. Applicants can check if they are eligible for either of the programs, including B.Tech/B.Des/BBA/MBA/B.PHARM/BPT/B.MLT, by going through the pre-defined eligibility conditions. LPUNEST Eligibility Criteria 2024 for B.Tech

Applicants who wish to get admission into B.Tech courses through LPUNEST 2024, should go through LPUNEST eligibility criteria 2024 carefully. The eligibility conditions mentioned below are determined by the official authorities responsible for organizing LPUNEST 2024. LPUNEST eligibility criteria 2024 for B.Tech are mentioned below:

  • Qualifying Examination: The applicant must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi). The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.
  • Aggregate: The applicant must have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent to physics, Mathematics, and English as the main subjects. For admissions to B.Tech. Biotechnology, B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering), B.Tech. Biotechnology (Hons.) the applicant should have a 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, English & either Maths or Biology or Biotechnology. For admissions to B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) and B.Tech. (CHE - Petroleum), the applicant must have at least an aggregate of 60%  in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.

Note: 5% relaxation will be given if the candidate is from the North East States and Sikkim / Defence Personnel or dependant on one/ward of Kashmiri Migrants.

LPUNEST Eligibility Criteria 2024 for UG Design

LPU offers admission into the UG-Design course offered by the university through LPUNEST. Applicants who wish to apply for the UG-Design course at LPUNEST 2024 should carefully follow the following eligibility conditions.

  • Qualifying Examination: The applicant should have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi). The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.
  • Aggregate: If the applicant wants admission in B.Design or B.Sc (Design) he/she should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent.

Note: LPU will give the applicant 5% relaxation if he/she is from Northeast states and Sikkim / Defence Personnel or dependant on one / ward of Kashmiri Migrants.

LPUNEST Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Hotel Management

The following are LPUNEST 2024 eligibility requirements:

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for LPUNEST (Hotel Management)
  • Candidates must have passed their class 12 board exam (10+2 scheme) with a minimum of 50% in order to qualify for LPUNEST (Hotel Management). To be eligible for LPUNEST, candidates must have completed 10+2 in English (Hotel Management).
  • Candidates who scored 70% or more on their class 12 exams are exempt from taking the entrance exam and may apply for admission directly.

LPUNEST Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Agriculture

The following are LPUNEST Agriculture 2024 eligibility criteria:

  • Citizenship: Indian residents
  • Candidates must have passed or sat in Class 12 (10+2 system) from CBSE/ Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE)/ State Board/ other Council, Institution, college, or other apex bodies recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi.
  • Candidates must pass with a minimum of 60% in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, or Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years. After completing 10th grade or equivalent, obtain a diploma in agriculture.

LPUNEST Eligibility Criteria 2024 for MBA

The candidate who completely satisfies the pre-defined LPUNEST eligibility criteria 2024 will be allowed to move forward with LPUNEST application process. LPUNEST Eligibility Criteria 2024 for MBA is mentioned below: 

  • Qualifying Examination: Suppose the candidate is applying for admission to an MBA. In that case, he/she should have completed the graduation or should be in the final examination of the graduation from University Grants Commissions (UGC) recognized University, Institution, College, etc.
  • Aggregate: The applicant should have passed with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor's Degree (any discipline) or equivalent.

Note: LPU will give 5% relaxation if the applicant is from North-East states and Sikkim / Defence Personnel or dependant on one / ward of Kashmiri Migrants.

LPUNEST Eligibility Criteria 2024 for UG Courses in Law

Applicants can go through the qualification requirements as per the pre-defined eligibility criteria given out by the official authorities. All the applicants must fulfill the given conditions to move forward in the LPUNEST admission process.

  • Qualifying Examination: The applicant should have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi). The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.
  • Aggregate: If the applicant is seeking admission in B.A., LL.B (Hons.), B.com, LL.B(Hons) and BBA, LLB, (Hons) then he/she should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (any stream) with English or equivalent.

Note

  • 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST candidates and 3% is given for OBC candidates
  • 5% relaxation is given to North-East states and Sikkim students / Wards of Kashmiri Migrants / Defence Personnel and their Dependents.
  • If the applicant belongs to both categories, then one of the relaxations will be considered.

LPUNEST Eligibility Criteria 2024 for UG AMS

LPUNEST UG AMS includes courses like Bachelor of Pharmacy, B.Sc (Medical Lab. Technology), and Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Applicants are advised to carefully go through the given LPUNEST eligibility criteria 2024 to avoid unnecessary obligations in the admission process. 

  • Qualifying Examination: The applicant should have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi). The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognized by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi, or any other concerned apex body as applicable.  
  • Aggregate: Courses needed to apply for a particular program (B.Pharm., BPT, B.Sc. Medical Lab. Technology) differ, as the eligibility aggregate marks are 60% for both programs. Below is the list of courses needed for the applicant to study any of the programs in AMS (Applied Medical Sciences).
  • B.Pharm. (Bachelor of Pharmacy): The applicant should have passed the 10+2 examination (with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Maths) or equivalent.
  • BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy): The applicant should have passed the 10+2 examination (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or equivalent.
  • B.MLT ((Bachelor of (Medical Lab. Technology)): The applicant should have passed the 10+2 examination (with English, Chemistry and either Biology, Maths or Biotechnology) or 2 years MLT Diploma after 10th or equivalent.

Note

  • If the applicant has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English as listed may be reconsidered only if, in his/her qualifying exam, the applicant studied in the English medium.
  • 5% relaxation will be given to the North-East states and Sikkim candidates, Defence Personnel, and their Dependents and Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.
  • And 10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (i.e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from the Selection committee* of the University.
  • In case the applicant fall in both categories mentioned, then only one relaxation ineligibility will be given.

*The Selection Team (Division of Student Welfare (Head), Director of Sports, Dy. Director of Sports, Concerned Coach, and Vice-Chancellor Nominee).
