Assam University B.Tech course is offered with3 different specializations. These are Agricultural, Computer Science, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Admission to these courses is based on the scores of JEE Main. Upon the counselling, the seats are allocated to students at Assam University.

Assam University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Assam University B.Tech differs for students based on their mode of admission. 75% of seats are reserved for students applying through JEE Main. For those students, eligibility criteria are the same as JEE Main. For the rest of the seats, students can apply by appearing for the UG entrance exam conducted by the university. Students must have cleared their 10+2 with 60% combined scores in PCM. Those appearing for their 10+2 boards can apply for the entrance exam; however, they must submit the final mark sheet and passing certificate during document verification. 

Assam University B.Tech Admission

Admission to the Assam University BTech course is done in two separate sessions. 75% of seats are reserved for JEE Main. Students will get these seats allotted through the JoSAA counselling. The university conducts its entrance exam for admission to the remaining seat, and students must appear there.

Application Procedure

The counselling board of JoSAA allots seats in any of the 3 specializations in Assam University B.Tech based on the seat availability and choice of subject. The counselling process begins after the results of JEE Main phases are announced. This is done for 75% of the seats. For the rest of the seats, students must fill in the application form and apply to appear for the university entrance exam. The steps to do this are given below.
