The college has a full-fledged Training and Placement Department headed by a Professor. The highly competent team engages in interaction with corporate houses to explore the opportunities for training and job placement of students. Counseling is provided to groom students in order to meet the standards of the industry, not only in technical knowledge but also in interpersonal and communication skills.

The major recruiters are Aon Hewitt, Ashok Leyland, Continental Automotive Components (India) Pvt Ltd, Directi Internet Solutions, Ericsson, Grapecity India Pvt. The college has separate on-campus hostels for boys and girls, providing accommodation for students. The hostel rooms are well furnished with the provision of furniture, almirahs, bedding, and curtains. Each hostel has its own mess and well-furnished dining hall, gymnasium, TV room, library, playground, recreation room, adequate power back up,  canteen cum utility shop, and round the clock security. Separate residential wardens are employed for each hostel.

The eligibility criteria for B.tech is to pass the intermediate exam and qualify for the UPSEE exam or direct admission through mgt quota. I took the admission through UPSEE exam.

The faculty of our college is highly experienced, cooperative, and supportive. The college is open from Monday to Saturday and timing from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The quality of teaching is very good. The college has a smart classroom.

SDGI strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the college extends the Scholarship Scheme which is an initiative by the college to cultivate the talent of students that may be hidden due to financial constraints. Scholarships can be availed in all the Programmes of the college.

SDGI organises technical and cultural fests every year. The technical fest includes many technical events like roborace, robosoccer, and project exhibition.

Cultural events include dance, songs and star night. The college has five clubs like pioneer club, genesis club, prayas club, and crescendo club for different activities.
