Gaurav Barua's Review on AMC Engineering College

The faculties here are very supportive in terms of Internships, projects, etc. Major companies that come for placement are Infosys, Wipro, TCS and all that mass recruit students. The average salary that a CSE student can expect is around 3.5-4.0 LPA. And for other branches such as ECE and MECH, it's around 3.5-4.5 LPA. And the left out branches may end up getting nothing unless and until he/she is very much determined and fast learner.

There are 2 hostels, one for the boys and the other for the girls. Hostels are (6/10) and the fees is around 70-80k per year.(single room) The food is not at all good it seriously will make you malnourished. I would rate infrastructure in once: (1/10) Just like Typical Govt. Colleges

There's an Exam called KCET for local students and COMEDK for others. The cut-off is not that High. Since Bangalore is famous for Computer science and engineering(CSE) that's the reason why the cut-offs for CSE goes higher. But in this college, you can get CSE branch up to 55k rank(KCET) by 3rd round of counseling.

If you want to enjoy then this is definitely not the place for you as the routine is very hectic. Usually, the classes will be from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Exams, assignments and projects are taken very strictly here. Teaching faculties are really very good. We do have well-qualified teachers here. Overall I would give 5/10 this 5 is majorly for teaching.

Since I'm through KCET General Merit and also from CS branch my 1st year fees was around 1.1 lakhs and the remaining years 85-90k per year. There are many scholarships available for all other categories except General as IT'S INDIA. Almost many students get scholarship as many belong to Defence backgrounds and rest SC/ST/OBC and what not. If you are financially strong then loans are not needed but if not then don't worry you will get education loan.

Student society is there and we do have some clubs such as Cultural, etc. There are 2 fests the first one is COLOSSEUM AND the biggest is MELANGE.
