Placements and Internships

1.5

  • Internship was in Biocon for 6 months and they paid INR 5000 each month. That was after college.
  • I got my job on my own, not by campus hiring.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3

  • They don't provide hostel facility but near the college, many PGs are there. One I can recommend is 'Vindhyashree Hostel', it's in next lane. They charge around Rs. 5000 per month with food and gas.
  • They are all fine. You can check as per your requirement with food or without food.
  • They have canteen. It was good.
  • They dont have high-five infrastructure but they have all fundamentals required. They have good furnished classrooms, Labs have all basic biotech related equipments even to do to plant tissue culture, Dining hall was ok and wi-fi is connected to one room which was full of desktops.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Student should be graduate in Biotechnology i.e. B.Sc in Biotechnology, minimum should have 55% of marks in Graduation. You have to give its entrance test.
  • It was the college admission test.
  • At least you should have 40%.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

  • That was strict and highly cooperative also. Classes usually started from 10:00 am and finished up by 5:00 pm. They have semester wise exams schedule, weekly they give assignments and each semester has two projects.
  • Quality and method of teaching are just awesome. They provide both theoretical and practical knowledge. Specially they motivate you all to do research or experiments on your own which innovates you and makes you ambitious.
  • It was good as they have lesser fees and such new and innovative faculties. They provide you every possible facility i.e. books, notes, extra classes.

Fees and Scholarships

3

  • For M.Sc. Biotechnology, the course fee was INR 60,000 per year
  • Scholarship depends on your studies and your financial condition but not many options were available.
  • No, loans are not required. You can pay them even in instalments also.

Clubs and Associations

3

  • One students' association was there.
  • They celebrate everything such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Teej, Annual Function, Inter-College competition, Debates, Science Exhibition, Sports day, Cultural Programs, etc.
  • Experience was good.
