I have not done internships because I am in 1st year but the interns over here get a stipend of ₹20000 per month. After graduation there is posting according to OPSC and if not one can work as a tutor or junior resident in the hospital. In that case salary varies from ₹40000-₹70000. If one does PG or superspeciality courses one can easily get a job and work as professor the salary ranging from ₹70000-₹120000. Alumni network is excellent as this college is a family and every senior here is glad to help the juniors.
There are 4 hostels for MBBS students and 3 PG hostels. There is one House Surgeons hostel and one Senior Resident hostel. For ladies there is a separate Ladies Hostel complex. PG seats is around 120 and there is ample scope too. In the college the fees are quite low and stipend is around 45000 per month. Food in the Hostels is good with ₹45/ meal. Food is given 2 times per day with snacks in the evening. Quality of classrooms is excellent and Labs are also well equipped with devices and specimens. Wifi os available by Govt. But outside the college and the maintainance of campus os excellent.
I am pursuing MBBS course in the college and I have been selected on the basis of marks secured in NEET-2018. To be eligible to study MBBS you must have to secure at least 50 percent marks in 12th qualifying examination having subjects English, Physics , Chemistry and Biology. In order to get a seat in the college you will have to score a minimum marks of 530+ with all India Rank around 10000. However, this is for the seats of State Quota (85%). The rest 15% seats filled by All India Counselling in which marks should be around 550. The college has 250 seats for MBBS and is located in an extremely good and convenient place in the city of Brahmapur. The climate is good as it is near the sea beach and food quality is better. There are many places for refreshments also. The college has highly qualified Doctors and tutors . The teaching quality and examination pattern is worthy of knowledge and one can easily get to learn many stuffs depict the hard course of MBBS . The campus is one of the largest campus of India and it has great influx of patients. Overall, it is an excellent institution for gaining knowledge and having a good memory far after the professional life.
Class timings are from 9 a.m to 5 p.m with lunch break from 1p.m to 2 p.m Sundays and second Saturdays are holidays along with holidays specified by Govt. Of Odisha. Assignments and projects are given frequently with total 9 semesters and 4 professional exams. Quality of teaching is excellent with best teacher-student interaction and digital classrooms with advanced amenities. Overall experience is best in the college and I am feeling lucky to get admission to this college. I am getting scopes of improvement and I am sure every student admitting here will experience the same.
Course fee for Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital, [MKCGMCAH] Berhampur is ₹30000 per year which decreases to ₹18000 in final year. Hostel fees are ₹10000 excluding mess charges. Scholarship is available for students. For General Student Medhabruti And other scholarship for reservation candidates based upon the annual income of family. Yes, sometimes loans are needed for the course given by SBI and other Banks.
Every year college Union is formed with Dramatic, Cultural, Music and Sports society which is active throughout the year. Festivals include college functios, intermedical college meets, HS farewell, Shiv Ratri, Saraswati puja amd Ganesh puja. Holi, Diwali is also celebrated in a grand manner.
