SASTRA University has got more than 100 companies recruiting their students every year. And the number has been increasing every year. With the top notch companies being Paypal,Amazon,Microsoft,FlipKart etc. Regarding placements the School of Computer Science(SOC) of SASTRA has got an 100% placement almost always. There are core companies coming for each and every department and other than that there are software and non-technical(marketting,sales,data analysis) companies coming for recruitments too. Students usually attend the placemengts process during their final year. Regarding internships, a lot of students here do internships in their 3rd year. But very few companies come to recruit students and all. 

The procedure for getting into SASTRA University is as follows.

So there is no specific entrance examination for getting into SASTRA University. Candidates are selected based on their board marks and JEE scores. There are 2 categories. In the first category they take 70% of your board marks and 30% of your JEE scores and evaluate. And in category 2 its just the board marks they consider. So once you fill the form with your marks, they will evaluate your score based on the category you have applied for and you will be called for counselling.

Well regarding fees & scholarships SASTRA University has always been amazing. The fees here are very less and affordable and that is one of the main reason which pulls a lot of crowd into SASTRA. Semester fees are around INR 55,000 and hostel fees and all are also not that expensive. And there is a separate quota for NRI's. And the students who get above 8.5 cgpa with no disciplinary issues will get a scholarship of INR 16000 for the respective year. 

When it comes to clubs and associations the students here are totally engaged in some kind of activities other than academics. SASTRA University has the best cultural team in Tamil Nadu. And coming to the technical part also there are lots of clubs ( for example like the robotics club, the motoG club etc). In this way, the students seem to have a very good interaction with each other and they also have a healthy competition amongst each other.
