Michal Joardan's Review on AIT - Army Institute of Technology

Placements: Almost, 98% of the students got placed in the good companies. The average package here is high compared to the other colleges in Pune. The CS department of AIT is the 2nd best in the entire Pune. This year, we had 5 placement of INR 35 LPA approximately. From the Microsoft, 15 students from our college had cleared the aptitude round. All over, the highest placement of this college always crossed a minimum of INR 30 LPA.

The college campus is small. You will feel like you stated from 1 place and returned to the same place in just 10 min. But the facilities like Wi-Fi, classrooms, air-conditioned labs and library increases the fame of AIT. AIT has well-equipped gym and sports room. The food in the mess is good you will love it. The hostel rooms are clean and hygienic. Unlike other colleges in AIT hostel, you will be knowing every action. But there are many restrictions put on students regarding time.

Army Institute of Technology (AIT) Pune is an undergraduate/ postgraduate engineering college affiliated to the Pune University. Only wards of army personnel are allowed admission. The admission is through the ranks obtained in JEE MAINS exam. AIT functions under Army Welfare Education Society (AWES).

Firstly faculty members in Army Institute of technology are highly qualified and knowledgeable but not cooperative. The teaching method is average, and the curriculum is same as all other engineering colleges. The student to faculty ratio is 1:60. There are fewer girls. The college does not offer any industry exposure. But seniors are helpful, and they conduct an extra class to guide and tell the students regarding plans and path that juniors can follow.

The college offers AGIF scholarship worth INR 40,000 to about top 15 students in each class. and merit cum means scholarship to 3 students after top 15 from each branch. Toppers of each branch get  INR 20,000 and the second topper get  INR 15,000.

apart from this college also offers ZS scholarship to wards of retired army person in which all fee of academic is refunded for next 4 years.

The clubs in AIT are maintained and controlled by the AIT student Council (Student secretaries) under the guidance of faculty in-charges.The main clubs in AIT are AIT Engg and Technical board, Robotics Club, Cultural board, Sports Club, magazine Board, NSS club, OSS Club, Natures club, Maths Club and Spiritual club. Main events taking place in AIT are Aakriti (inter-branch Technical, cultural and sports championship), Solutions (inter-college technical fest), Amethyst (inter-college cultural fest), PACE(inter-college sports fest) and many others.
