Tanmay Sharma's Review on St. Xaviers College Ranchi

The placement from college are not so huge but some big companies of Kolkata and Bihar recruit the pass outs for internship and job offers. Basic pay for my friend for starting as a novice was Rs. 17000. The alumni network is not so strong. And our majority of batch mates did not opt for campus placements.

For admission one must be 12th I.Com pass out. For B.com with accounts honours there must be at least 50% marks in accounts and an additional subject of business maths or Mathematics is mandatory. I took the B.com entrance test which was in MCQ . There is no particular or typical cutoff every year they change the criteria for admission.

The timing is bifurcated in morning and evening. Morning time is 6.45 to 9.55 and for evening it's 2 to 5. Projects are practically good. Quality of teaching is very well and method of teaching is also upgrading, some teachers teach in traditional ways of chalk and board some teach through computer and projectors. Overall experience in college is awesome and very disciplined.

My fees for B.com was around Rs.30,000 per year. If you are of backward cast or schedule cast you will receive scholarship benefits, in some cases your total fee will get refunded. For my course there was no need of any such loans.

There are a different association in college like Hindi Sahitya Group, Dancing coordinators, NCC, YCM, Eco-friendly group and many more. The main celebration of our college is The Xavierotsav, it is an annual fest of three days with amazing and fabulous programs and enjoyment. The life is brilliant in college in general, it is safe, sound and super fast.
