They generally focus on more practical work like collecting different plants, weeds etc. from various localities, visiting fish farm etc.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. There are many PG's near the college and are easily available. the rent per month varies between INR 4000 to 5000. The food in college is average. Overall quality of classrooms, labs, libraries etc is excellent.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
The candidate must have passed the 12th from a recognized institute. No entrance exam is conducted. Minimum 75% cutoff mark is required.
Academics and Faculty
The daily schedule is 6 hours. 3 hours for theoretical work and 3 hours for practical work. There are 2 assignments and 2 sessionals each during one semester, one project work is also given in each subject. There is semester system and 6 final exams are conducted for 6 semesters. Overall it was a very good experience.
Fees and Scholarships
The fee is INR 4,000 per annum. The scholarship is available on merit basis.
Clubs and Associations
There are many student associations which work for student welfare. There are various functions, fests celebrated every year. There are also NSS, NCC etc. There are various sports events, talent hunt competitions etc.
