9 hostels, 1 pg hostel, 3 girls hostel. The hostel fee was Rs12000(mess)+Rs2000(misc) however this time it will increase and reach up to Rs17000. We are not sure about the exact amount since the fee structure is not yet published.

National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) is one of the 31 NITs of India and was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College in Silchar. In 2002, it was upgraded to the status of National Institute of Technology and was declared an Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007. JEE MAIN is the main entrance exam.

The routine of all will be from 8 am to 5 pm. We have had a break of 1 hour from 12 to 1 for having lunch.

Remission of 2/3rd of the Tuition Fee for General & OBC students whose family income is between Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh(INR) per annum.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech courses is that a student should score minimum of 75% in class 12 and he/she should clear JEE Mains.The minimum cutoff to get a seat from last round will be 112/360.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : We can apply for this college after clearing JEE Main exam.its cut off for a different branch is different.cut off for home state(Assam) is high.for all India rank cut off is same that of other units.for computer science cut off for all India rank is under 30000.for other branches cut off is 40000.if your rank is under 40000 then you can get a seat here.for more information go to its site

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria of admission is rank though the JEE . Qualify the jee main and you get a good rank as like 1 to 40000 . You were applying the admission form , and give the college by head of jee according to rank . And we got a admission in NIT SiLchar in civil engineering my course cut off is 32000 in National Institute of Technology.
