there is 100% p[lacement for cs students in thapar with great companies like deloitte,dshaw,microsoft,google,amazon,yahoo,zs etc visiting the campus every year.Thapar has an extensive alumni organisation which works very well in connecting with college grads,named saic.The average salary of placed students is 6lakh per annum

The labs and libraries are fully air conditioned and provide all the necessary facilities to students.All hostels,academic blocks and libraries have free wi fi connection and the quality of classrooms is very well maintained

i am pursuing be in computer science from thapar university patiala,having a current cgpa of 8.88,i have classes from 8-5,5 days a week.The teaching at thapar university is excellent,with practical application to things,through lab and tutorial sessions.

The college fee per semester is around 1 lakh(excluding hostel acomodation)Scholarships are given to 10% of students based on aieee score,+2 marks and economic status

there are a total of 45 societies in thapar,including literary,technical,drama,dance,music,fashion and every aspect of co curricular developement required for any student.The college also organises sports fests and meet every year,both intra and inter college fests

Academics & Faculty : We have classes from 8am to 5pm (including some breaks in between ) and sometimes extra classes too add up and we are busy till 6-7pm or so. Tests are very frequently taken up and those small tests of 5 marks add up to your CGPA. Assignments are also given vey frequently. Quality of teaching is mediocre. Few of the staff members are very experienced and are very helpful. College provides a lot of extra curricular activities to take part in. There is a lot of exposure given to the students. Overall the experience in college is great!

Academics & Faculty : Class timings are from 8am to 5pm with an average lunch break of 2 hours. University evaluates on regular basis through assignments, class tests and discussions. Mainly written exams are two in a semester that are Mid Semester Test(MST), &End Semester Test(EST). In which MST is approximately within 3 months of start of semester& EST is at the end of semester. The quality of teaching is quite good. Teachers are regular in classes .They are very practicle .They teaches us through presentations and live models and also uses white boards to teach us.We have regular practical classes to have practical experience. My overall experience at Thapar University, Paiala is fantastic.I am very happy to study here. Its amazing! Great!
Academics & Faculty : The acedemic schedule is quite rigourous with every week having 30-35 contact hrs in 5 working days We are evaluated twice a semester excluding the quizzes and practicals etc Choice of courses is not much but it is the case in most of the colleges in India courses taught are very relevant and personally I believe that thapar has one of the best curriculum among the colleges of it catergory Quality and Methodology are satisfactory but not the best Professors are quite helpful
