Placements and Internships
Companies like TCS has done mass recruitment in previous years. Cognizant and IBM also recruit the students. The average annual salary range from INR 3 lakhs to 4 lakhs. Internships are also available through the campus. My College has a strong alumni network.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There are 5 hostels available; 4 for boys and 1 for girls. The hostel fee is INR 2500 per month. PGs in the locality cost around INR 5000 per month. Quality of classrooms, lab, and the library is good. We have LAN access around the campus.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
I got admission through WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) rank. The cut-off rank for B.Tech in ECE was below 6000 and I ranked 5698.
Academics and Faculty
Regular class starts at 10:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm with an interval of 1 hour in between 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Overall experience is pretty good. Ragging free environment with the natural beauty of 168 acres.
Fees and Scholarships
The annual course fee is INR 17000.
Clubs and Associations
CFI, Rotaract, NSS, Magazine Club, Jyoti (a free night tuition to poor children), Dance Club, Music Club, Film Society, Sports Club are all the main organizations of our College. Viswakarma Puja, Saraswati Puja, and Holi are the main festivals that are celebrated. Sristi (our annual Techno-Management Fest) and Jeclat (our annual Cultural Fest) are also celebrated here. The life is pretty decent and good in our college.

Fees & Scholarships : As it's a govt. college, so the college fees are not so expensive.. The figure is affordable. For ECE, CSE students the fees are INR 7510/- , for CE, ME, EE students the fees are INR 5510/- and for IT students INR 12000/-. Those students who are suffering from financial problems get the facility of Full-Fee-Scholarship & Half-Fee-Scholarship.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The Entrance exam to get admitted in Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, [JGEC] West Bengal is WBJEE.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : I cleared WBJEE exam to take admission in engineering at Jharkhand Rai University. The eligibility criteria were to have science stream in 12th and having a minimum of 55% marks in physics, chemistry, and math. The admission was based on an online procedure where all the students were allowed to choose college and streams of their preferences. According to their ranks, the colleges and streams were allotted.
