Vishal Prasad's Review on Indian Institute of Information Technology, [IIIT] Srirangam

Currently, I haven't done any internships. 
Key companies hiring from here were Amazon, Hyundai, L&T, HP, and Via.com. 
Gaming Companies like MyAlly, GoLive and many others also come for recruitment.

Currently, there are two hostels, i.e one Boys Hostel and one Girls Hostel. Everyone, is necessarily expected to stay in 
the campus. The Hostel fee, both for Boys and Girls Hostel is INR 24,000/- per year. Mess is attached to both the hostels. 
And the food, is better, in terms of variety and quality, as compared to other insitutions. The per day charge for mess 
is around INR 120/-. It is INR 17000/- for one Semester. The food is a mixture of North India and South India. Every 
workspace and restspace is connected to WiFi Network. But we have a computer lab room in our hostel. This is for those who 
can't afford to buy a laptop. Academic building is in progress. Till then , IFMR provides us college space, which is of 
verh-high class. Labs and libraries are fully equipped. Still if you face shortage, you can always complain to Academic 
Office and things will be sorted out. 

The average daily routine starts at around 8 am to 6 pm. Despite of having such a busy routine, we find ways, for some 
extracurricular activities. And that too, in the form of Coding competitions on platforms like the Codechef, Hackerank,
HackerEarth, etc which are increasingly becoming popular. 

The course fee here is 2.15 lakhs per annum, both for CSE and ECE. However, banks like the SBI and The Oriental Bank are 
present here to give you educational loans. The institute also accepts scholarships either from the state you belong to or 
from the Centre. So, the needy ones can easily afford to study here. Even, the students are given free laptops (those who 
can't afford one), for which they have to pay after their placements.

We have all types of clubs. Some have started, while others are in the making. Of the things which has started, we have 
coding club, photography club, adventure club and sports club. These are regular and for the students recreation. Other 
than this, we have Novato, which is our freshers event and Abhisarga (our own cultural fest). These are breathetaking 
and up to mark for a naive institution like us.
