I have not got the internship yet and the agro based processing firms and other agro based industries are the main recruiters, in 2013 batch the highest package was INR 8 lakh, the alumni network is very good.

One should have appeared for ICAR entrance exam.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The student must be a graduate to enter in this Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar with biology or maths as a major subject in class 12th. All admissions in the University shall be made strictly on merit as determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Competitive Entrance Examination to be conducted by the University.Candidates other than Bonafide residents of Uttarakhand are not eligible to seek admission directly to the Undergraduate and Masters’ degree programs in the University. However, they can apply to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. They will have to submit a separate application as and when called by ICAR/VCI, New Delhi and take All India Competitive Examinations and attend counseling at New Delhi for seat allotment The top rankers up to 1-60 are eligible for veterinary course but for agriculture, the student up to 200 is required to
