Placements and Internships
- I am one of the Internshala Student Partners of my college and the stipend is based on my performance.
- I am also doing a work from home intern (social media marketing) in Snackexperts, Chennai.
- The placements are pretty good here and almost 90 percent of the peeps get placed in companies ranging from Microsoft to TCS.
- Freshdesk was started by one of our alumni and we do have a strong alumni network.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are nearly 6 hostels for boys and girls separately ranging from single rooms to five in ones.
- The hostel fee is based on the number of roommates we choose to have.
- Minimum pay for five-in-one would be Rs.8000/annum.
- The mess bill per month would be from 3500 to 4000 rupees.
- There are a lot of pgs available at cheaper rates at a distance of 2 to 3 kilometres from the campus.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The admission is purely merit based.
- I cleared my 12th board exams(state board) and applied for the university.
- There are two ways to get into SASTRA university- JEE score or board marks.
- I had a cut-off of 198/200.
Academics and Faculty
- The number of hours spent in SASTRA University would be nearly 8(including lunch and recession time).
- The methods employed to teach are good and practical.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee would be nearly one lakh per year(excluding hostel).
- A lot of scholarship options are available even after joining the college based on the cgpa.
Clubs and Associations
- We do have a wide range of clubs ranging from Entrepreneurship development club to music and dance clubs.
- We do have a yearly tech fest, sports fest and cultural fest( Daksh, Kuruksastra, Colosseum).
