Placements and Internships
- As far as the internship and job recruitment is concerned there are many companies that came to our college like ; Oberoi group, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Ernst and Young, Genpact, and about 300 students got placed at PGDAV College.
- Alumni network is also good.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are no hostels as such, but you can easily get a Pg near the college, most of my friends have lived in pg.
- The rent was around 25000, but obviously you can find someone to share the same pg with you so it would be easier for you to pay. As far as the food is concerned you can get a good amount of meal at very low prices.
- The infrastructure of the college has changed a lot, and I guess in few months there would be a metro station beside the college, so it would obviously become easier for you to travel.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- For getting admission in Delhi university, the most important thing is to have a good percentage
- Now for getting admission in D.U for English honors, you need to check the cut - off lists of all the colleges to see whether your percentage lies within the college cutoff.
- There is no entrance exam as such for getting admission in D.U.
- The basic cutoffs of every college for English honors generally starts from 98 or 97% and then till the last cutoff it comes down to 92 to 90%. But yes of course as i said its not at all easy to get admission in D.U without working hard.
Academics and Faculty
- The faculty of English honors is actually excellent, or maybe above at PGDAV College.
- The teachers have a whole pool of knowledge, and that's obvious, that's why they are teaching in college.
- My experience was extraordinarily good because of one thing that was my society.
- But yes the overall experience of my college life was obviously much better than my school life, and it has to be the case because college is college.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee of PGDAV College is 40,000 for three years.
- The scholarship is offered to those who are good at academics.
- Loans are not required as the fee is nominal.
Clubs and Associations
- There are many departmental fest as well as the fest of all the society individually like our dramatics society has a fest every year named SHOR at PGDAV College.
- College life, in general, is very different from the life you have lived till now in your school.
- There would be no restrictions, no burden as such.
