Placements and Internships
- The placement record of RCC Institute of Information Technology is very attractive over the past several years which in terms place this college in the list of top five private colleges in WB.
- Many core and IT national and multinational companies like TCS, Capgemini, CTS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Indian Navy, Kreeti Technologies come here to recruit new employees every year.
- The average starting salary package offered is Rs. 3 lakhs per annum.
- The highest starting salary packages are up to Rs. 5 lakhs per annum which are a quite handsome figure.
- The college also has a alumni table which has almost 16 active members including responsible pass out seniors and teachers.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- RCC Institute of Information Technology does not have the hostel accommodation.
- Though there are plenty of mess/ PGs available near the colleges starting from Rs. 1,800 per month.
- The labs are equipped with all the materials and machinery which are needed as per the course.
- Students are provided with essential text books from the book bank at the starting of each semester.
- Also, they also can borrow books from a library. Inside the library, there is a nice reading place where loads of various books, journals, e-books, magazines etc are provided.
- Both the library and book bank are maintained by active and experienced persons.
- There is wifi facility inside the college campus.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- RCC Institute of Information Technology is one of the top five private engineering colleges in West Bengal. Previously it was a semi-government college but currently it has its own governing body.
- The infrastructure of the college is decent. It has a large campus including two playgrounds, four large buildings along with many other small buildings, a pond with its beautiful arena.
- Also, there is a canteen and a cafeteria inside the campus.
- The new building has total 6 floors with lift facility.
- Currently, the college is offering five UG b.tech. courses ( EE, ECE, CSE, IT, AEIE) along with MCA.
- One has to appear in the WBJEE examinations after completion of 12th standard in science to get admitted in the college and if one have good rank in the WBJEE, he/she can easily get admitted in this college.
Academics and Faculty
- The working days of RCC Institute of Information Technology are from Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 6 pm.
- The teaching and learning process of the college is very good and efficient.
- The teachers and professors are friendly yet intelligent and practical.
- The method of teaching is also very good.
- Each classroom is equipped with projectors, speakers and sound absorber for audio-visual learning.
- Also the classrooms are neat and clean and well maintained which creates an effective environment for teaching and learning.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee at RCC Institute of Information Technology for the B.Tech courses is comparatively lower than any other private engineering colleges in West Bengal.
- The average course fee is almost Rs. 78,000 per year.
- But there is some scholarship facility available based on the merit, the financial condition and the academic performance of the students.
- One can avail half amount freeship or full amount freeship according to the above-said criteria.
- Every year almost 10 students from each year of each stream enjoy this scholarship.
- One also can opt for bank loan easily at a very low-interest rate as the college has a tie up with the Bank of India regarding all of its financial activities.
Clubs and Associations
- RCC Institute of Information Technology has its own cultural, technical, and sports committee which look after all the events held in the college every year.
- The 'Techtrix', its tech festival, where events like biped robot race, Robo war, Robo soccer, line follower robot, coding and programming, computer games like CS, FIFA, NFS MW are held is very famous among the other colleges.
- Also, the sports fest 'KRIRATHON' and cultural fest 'REGALIA' is famous on the campus.
