Placements and Internships
- You are required to do the internship during your course at NIFT. College arranges for internships. Stipends depend on the company.
- Aditya Birla Group companies like Madura, Pantaloons etc. Raymonds, Shahi export house, Must Garment, Blackberrys, Trident, etc are some key companies visit the campus for placements.
- The average salary falls between Rs. 3-4 lakh per year.
- Highest salary was Rs. 16 lakhs per anum last year.
- 100% placement is there for this course.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Overall infrastructure of NIFT is good. But the college has only one hostel only for girls.
- Hostel fee is Rs. 1 lakh per year excluding flooding charges.
- We have a good canteen in the college, food is good. We have many options of food.
- Library of the college is best among all centers, you can get every type of books in the library.
- Labs are also very good and they are equipped with all necessary equipment.
- You will get free WiFi zone in the college.
- All classrooms have ACs and projectors installed.
- You can also get accommodation outside the college. You can take flats or you can go for PGs too.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- NIFT takes a separate entrance exam for admission, it generally held on 1st or 2nd Sunday in the month of February.
- Entrance test comprises of, logical ability and reasoning test, analytical ability test, English and comprehension, and G. K. & G. S. It is also called GAT(General Ability Test), it carries 100% weight age for the admission.
- Eligibility criteria include 12th standard in science stream (PCM).
- Seats are very limited. Only 360 seats are available across all the centers, which means 30 seats per Centre. You need to get a very good rank to get in the college.
Academics and Faculty
- College timing at NIFT is from 9:15 am-5:30 pm daily, in which there are 5 sessions are taken, each of 1.5 hours and a lunch break of 45 minutes.
- You need to maintain the attendance very carefully as it is very much necessary to get a minimum of 75% attendance in total to pass the semester in any condition. Medical leaves are also included in 25% only.
- You need to summit the projects and assignments on time if you do not want to fail.
- Method and quality of teaching are very good, there is a lot of learning opportunities.
- You can also participate in the various type of cultural and sports activities.
- College life is awesome, you will enjoy it.
Fees and Scholarships
- College fee at NIFT is Rs. 1,60,000 per year and it increases 10% every year.
- There is a scholarship cum subsidy program for poor and needy students, which is given according to the parent's income. It is given from 25% to 75% of college fee.
- You may also take loans from the banks, it is easily available.
- Union bank of India is associated with the institution to provide all kind of banking facilities.
- But there are other banks too which provide loan for this course, like Punjab National Bank, IDBI Bank etc.
Clubs and Associations
- There are 5 clubs on NIFT campus which include Cultural club, Literary club, sports club, film and photography club, social club. You can be a part of any club according to your interest.
- We have 2 main festivals in our college one is sports and know as Converge and the other is a cultural festival known as Spectrum.
- Life of college, in general, is very social and interactive.
