Placements and Internships

There a lot of companies that come to amrita for placements. We actually have 100% placement given that you are eligible enough.
We have a lot of companies hiring in the IT sector and we also have core companies for each branch hiring eligible students every year.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

Amrita has its own entrance exam since it's a deemed university. The student should apply for the entrance exam which will be conducted during the month of April. The entrance exam is AEEE which stands for amrita entrance examination.
The minimum eligibility criteria for the exam is a pass in 10+2 or its equivalent. The exam should be fairly easy with proper preparation.
Admission is based on the rank you score in AEEE.
A counselling will be held based on the rank. During the counselling session, you can choose your course and college as amrita university has 4 colleges in engineering.
You will be allotted seat as per availability. The seats will be served on the basis of rank in AEEE.
Electrical and electronics engineering is not a high demand in Amrita Puri campus. So you will be able to get a seat in the course easily.

Fees and Scholarships

The college fees for engineering is Rs. 1,20,000 per year. This is exclusive of hostel and mess facility.
10% of students admitted are eligible for a scholarship in the first year of B. Tech.
The study in each of the four campuses based on merit. It is awarded as a waiver of tuition fees ranging from 90% to 25% depending on the rank in the Amrita Entrance Examination-Engineering (AEEE) 2017.
In Amrita Puri campus 48 scholarships are provided by the management.
