College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- When it comes to hostels MPSTME is top notch. Though there are few room availabilities in the MPSTME hostel itself, there is a range of good PG's available in the neighbourhood.
- In a nutshell, you wouldn't have any problems to find a room.
- Per annum, the residential cost ranges from Rs 1.5-2.5 lacs.
- The college canteen is excellent with a whole array of meal options available. Everything is reasonably priced.
- There is not a lot of campuses but there is Wi-Fi available for all students.
Academics and Faculty
- MPSTME is a place where you will have to work ver hard. There is no time to relax within the semester, and classes are conducted 6 days a week, for about 6 hours a day.
- The attendance required is 80% (Up to 70%-ish is accepted in some cases- genuine medical reasons, etc.) 100% Attendance is required in tutorials and labs.
- Assignments are also given throughout the semester (2 per subject). Vivas are conducted almost every lab session. Thus, the atmosphere is pretty competitive. The lectures for all Streams are different and timings vary for all Streams.
- Typically college starts at 8:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm but not at all days.
- There are 2 units in each semester and then the semester examination. So each semester has 3 tests. •Faculty may or may not change after every semester.
- The quality and methods of teaching are fairly good, again it depends on the faculty.
- The reference books suggested by the faculty are also good and most of the professors will give you their own notes.
- A student needs to have a minimum 80% attendance for each semester. If not then the student will not be allowed to give the semester examinations and he/she will have to repeat the whole year.
- To pass in a particular subject a student must score a minimum of 50% marks in all examinations.
Fees and Scholarships
- B.Tech course fee per annum is Rs 2.5 lacs (All Streams).
- MBA Tech course fee per annum is Rs 3.5 lacs (All Streams) at Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering.
Clubs and Associations
- As for co-curricular activities, the students' council has many committees within it (Cultural, Technical, Social, Sports, Social Impact, Colloquium), along with multiple other national and international committees (AIESEC, ACM, MUN).
- Events are held almost every other week by some or the other committee at Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering.
