Placements and Internships
- I am still aspiring my final year of MBBS at AMC. I will do my internship after 2 years.
- The average salary figures vary with the doctor. For an MBBS doctor, one would pay Rs.20,000 per month while for an MS surgeon, at least a lac per month.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 2 hostels at Andhra Medical College. One for men and the other for women. They are in a bad condition. So, I don't stay in them.
- Classrooms are good enough. We have an excellent library and a good set of laboratories.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria at Andhra Medical College, Vishakapatnam is passing your 12th class BPC with at least 50% marks and clearing AP EAMCET exam.
Academics and Faculty
- University exams are conducted by NTRUHS annually and internal exams are held by our faculty themselves. Class timings start from 1pm to 4 PM.
- Our college's quality and method of teaching are excellent. We are taught by a well-experienced faculty.
- I consider it a boon to study in this college.
Fees and Scholarships
- I receive a stipend of Rs 10,000. But, I spend much of my money on my books and residence.
- There is a scholarship offered by MHRD. But I can't avail it.
- Around, 50 students in my batch of about 200 students at AMC, Vizag is studying with a scholarship.
- Bank loans can be availed. I applied for it but, it got closed due to some restrictions laid by the bank personnel.
Clubs and Associations
- We have an excellent set of student societies, clubs and associations like HAMSA (which I am the secretary of) and I am also a member of IMS-SW.
- Every year we organize our sports week and college week.
- Life at Andhra Medical College is excellent.
