Placements and Internships
- No internship is provided by the college, and they won't allow you to attend any by granting O.D if you're willing to do it individually.
- IT companies like Accenture, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc will come for placement. No core companies have come yet.
- Very few are selected from the civil department as all the companies demand programming skills.
- Haven't heard about any alumni students
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Hostel facility is only available for 1sr year students
- Very good Infrastructure with good sanitation are provided in hostel
- But the food offered is'nt that great.
- Numerous PGs are available just outside the campus with good facilities, costing around 3000-10,000 per month
- pgs are mostly shared by 4-10 students in a room.
- Food is below average, very limited variety is available, it will cost rupees 50 per meal
- But within 3km radius good and decent hotels are avilable, The college allows you to go out during lunch break
- Quality standard of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls are very good, No wifi in campus is provided
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria are to pass 12th(HSC) exam with above 60% of marks or to complete a diploma degree.
- No entrance exams are conducted, either you can get through anna university counselling or Managment quota
- The cutoff for my course varies from 150-175 depending upon Caste.
Academics and Faculty
- Lenient college you can carry your cell phones, Not necessary to wear a shoe, belt, to tuck in, clean shave and look a marketing guy
- Class starts at 8:30AM and ends around 4PM
- Exams are conducted and useless assignments are given periodically
- Have to develop your interest for projects
- project expos are conducted yearly
- Teaching depends on the staffs you get, Purely based on your luck, You have to study on your own interest.
- Great Experience from the college apart from academics, the college gives you more freedom which most of the colleges does not offer
- So with freedom, you'll have great times with friends
Fees and Scholarships
- If you get admission through Anna university counseling the fees are 45,000 rupees yearly, excluding charges for bus, food, other amenities.
- Scholarship provided by government like Minority scholarship, First graduate quota, caste based scholarship are available
- But the government based scholarship are only available for those students who got admission through anna university counseling.
- Students having weak financial backgrounds can apply for educational loan from banks, Students got admission through anna university counseling and above 70% marks in 12th HSC are given the first preference
- Government banks are likely preferred for the low interest they offer.
Clubs and Associations
- There are many numbers of Clubs and associations in the college anyone can join them on their own preference
- Onam is the main festival celebrated in college
- Other activities like sports day and cultural take place every year
- College is very lenient and offers you more freedom comparing to most of the other colleges in and out of Chennai.
- With good friends and freedom, you will have tons of memories and experience to cherish after years.
