Placements and Internships
- I've worked as an intern at various companies like Upside Down, Greymeter, Times Internet(TOI group) in marketing,content writing and research and analysis respectively. Various companies like Deloitte,KPMG,Bain,E&Y, McKinsey,Urban clap, Sociowash etc come to our campus for placements and recently our highest package went till 14 LPA.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- At Hansraj, you may avail the hostel facility but it is only for boys. But not to worry since Hansraj is situated in north campus there are endless PG and flat options for outstation students at affordable rates. The college has an amazing canteen and is the only college to have waiter service. You can get your tummy filled at only 30 rupees on average. The college also has 3 WiFi installed beside the hostel WiFi. Every student is given a password for the same.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Admission is on the basis of board results in class 12th. Best of four % is considered for the calculation of cutoff in Hans Raj or any other Delhi University college for that matter. The cutoff of Economics hons in Hansraj usually closes at 96.5%. (General category). You may also apply through various quotas No separate entrance exam.
Academics and Faculty
- The faculty in Hansraj is considered to be one of the finest in India.in entire Du, Hansraj entertains the widest variety of courses. And has recently been ranked 2nd best in India's co-ed college list. There are a lot of societies in college and sports provision including dance, drama, debating, environment ,archery, badminton,rifle shooting etc.
Fees and Scholarships
- For economics honours in Hansraj, in the first-year fee for general category is only INR 1600.
- Yes, the scholarship is given to students if they apply and get selected on certain criteria. Fees for the different category is different. For sc/st it is approx INR 3000-4000 in the first-year p.a.
Clubs and Associations
Life in college is chilled. Attendance issues are not big problems. There is a society for everyone in colleges corporate minds, economic minds, photographers,orators, debaters,environment lovers,dancers , choreographers, theatre etc. The main annual fest of HRC (Hans raj college) is Confluence held every year in March. It also witnesses great artists like SRK last year along with honey Singh.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Students take their admission on the basis of 10+2 examination's marks. However, there are certain courses for which entrance examination is conducted. B.Sc. Life Sciences is not one of those courses. Students can acquire direct admission to this course, based on their percentage in 10+2 examination. The form can be filled offline as well as online. The college releases it's cutoff marks in the 1st or 2nd week of June. The cutoff for life sciences is 94% to 95% for the general category and 87% to 93% for other category students.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Hansraj College is situated in North Delhi district at Kamla Nagar. The college is affiliated with Delhi University. Hans Raj College is one of the largest constituent colleges of the University of Delhi. This co-educational Institute offers education in all the three streams like arts, science, and commerce. The College has been ranked amongst the Top-10 in Science and the Top-6 in Arts and Commerce Colleges of India several times in the last decade or so. The eligibility criteria for getting admission is to pass the 12th standard. The entrance is organized by Delhi University at all India level and on the basis of rank, college is allotted to student although the process of admission is easy. The cut- off for my courses will raise to 90-95% in best four including the English language. If anyone can fulfilling these requirements, then he/she will become a part of Hansraj family.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for joining Hans Raj College is passing the 12th in PCM stream. There is no entrance exam required. Cut off ranges from 95-98 for Chemistry Hons in general category.
